I bought this washer brand new and after 2yrs 3mos it completely broke. I take very good care of my appliances and I was surprised to hear the bad news...the seal broke which resulted in water leaking to the rear tub causing the rear tub to rust and then the belt broke. The repair costs far exceeded the cost to buy a new washer and needless to say it was NOT another GE model.
Also, the spin cycle is extremely noisy on this model.

Three weeks after I brought this washer home, the seal around the door failed and the washer leaked a significant amount of water all over my laundry room. The machine has some nice features, but based on my experience, it just isn't reliable.

We went from a Kenmore top load washer to this. We were apprehensive about getting a front loader. We heard mixed reviews about them. We read all the reviews and when Consumer Reports rated this model #2 and we got a great purchase price we got it. I was leary about it as it ran SO QUIET that I thougt it can't possibly be getting the clothes clean. After 2-3 loads of catch up I was impressed. Then my son came home with grass stained and mud soaked white baseball pants. They came out pure white I was THRILLED!!!!! My top load would never of done it!!! Everyone told me that when it spins it would rock the house and sound like a heloicopter was landing in the laundry room. This has not been the case, we made sure to level it when installing it and it runs great you never here it and ours is on the first floor not concrete. I love this machine!!!!!

VERY EFFICIENT - GREAT WASHER

I REALLY LIKE MY FRONT LOADING WASHER. AT FIRST IT SEEMED LIKE IT WASN'T USING ENOUGH WATER - BUT IT IS JUST THAT MUCH MORE EFFICIENT WHICH WAS SOMETHING I WASN'T USE TO.
IF I HAD IT TO DO OVER AGAIN I WOULD GET THE STORAGE BASE- NOT SO MUCH FOR THE STORAGE ASPECT, BUT TO ELEVATE THE WASHER SO YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO BEND OVER TO LOAD AND UNLOAD.
ONE THING THAT IS REALLY GREAT IS HOW MUCH WATER IS EXTRACTED DURING THE SPIN. IT REALLY WHIPS THAT LAUNDRY AROUND TO THE POINT THAT ITS ALREADY ALMOST DRY WHEN THE CYCLE STOPS.

Breaks down every 3 months. I could have bought a new front-loader for the amount of money I spent repairing this. I am so angry!
