Its a small living room and it takes about 2 hours to get cool. On a hot day of 90+ degrees it takes 2 and a half for the living room to get fresh. We don't feel the cold ac, it feels more of a room temperature type of cold. But as long as it doesn't feel hot in the living room eeh we're okay with the room temperature. Price is too high for the way this thing works.

Posted .Hi - We are truly sorry to hear you feel this way about your air conditioner. When installed properly this unit has the ability to cool your room down to 64 degrees F. On extremely hot days like the 90+ days you've mentioned, it will take the air conditioner longer to achieve your desired temperature.
Consider the temperature of the room when the air conditioner was first turned on. If the room was very hot it will take longer to cool the room. When heat is stored up in walls, furniture, rugs and draperies, it will take longer to cool the room down. Whenever possible, turn the air conditioner on before the room heats up. We would recommend making sure your exhaust hose is properly secured to the window and turn the air conditioner on to cool before it reaches 90+ outside and see if the unit performs better. If you continue to have difficulty and/or are not able to achieve your desired temperature setting, please refer to the warranty page in your Owner's Manual to possibly return the unit for an exchange. Installation is very easy however my windows are narrow so I had to trim plastic part. After first hour I realized that motor or compressor noise that coming from back is very disruptive and it is not a white noise it is motor/ compressor. So it is not for bedrooms.

Posted .Hello there - Thank you for this review. We apologize that your portable air conditioner is operating loudly and that it isn't cooling your small room as well it should. This unit has a decibel rating of 55/57 dBA, which should be slightly louder than moderate rainfall but quieter than a normal conversation.
