This washer has exceeded my expectations. The 5.0 cu ft size is perfect for queen sheets/comforters and bulky items. The ease of programming a wash is super easy and for items I need to "soak" there are selections that satisfy that compared to a top load option. Happy with the GE so far.

Pretty quiet machine which I wanted. Basic use is easy to do. I still have to find out how to hear the sound when the cycle is complete.

I am really happy that I bought this machine. It washes my smart laundry very well and its compartment is very large. I recommend it to everyone.

Replaced an old washer with this one and couldn’t be happier. Great features and does an amazing job washing clothes that smell great. The best thing is the capacity. Can fit a queen comforter in this washer with ease.

One of the best features of this washing machine is its automatic dispenser and I also like the Wi-Fi notifications that my clothes are done. It seems to clean OK and the cycle takes less time than my previous washing machine. There are lots of settings I haven't tried out yet. My only problem was when I purchased it I paid for delivery and set up and the delivery guys didn't switch the door to the other side like I wanted and took the special tool that was needed to do it on my own and I had to have Best Buy come back out and do it for me, which was quite an involved process.

I like the washer because it Washes large loads. The washer when engaged is very quiet. I would recommend this product.

I want to love this machine, but I don't. Our first one malfunctioned the 3rd time used. GE tried to fix it but could not so after 2 months I got a brand new one. GE has great customer service as does Best Buy. I thought I had been unlucky and gotten a lemon, but the exact same thing happened to my sister in law. The machine gets stuck in a wash cycle and it can not be overridden so the water does not drain and the door can not be opened. Mine occurred in a cold wash cycle, it happened to my sister in law in a wash/dry cycle. We both lost a ton of clothes, GE does have a process to reimburse you. The machine is also noisier then I had expected. Good things are the multitude of options for a wide variety of textiles and the auto venting feature which helps prevent mold and mildew that you often see with front loaders.

For the most part the washer does a great job, but there are a couple issues. I’ve owned the machine for about a month and on two occasions the wash cycle wouldn’t end. The fist time the load was particularly heavy so I assumed user error. More recently this never-ending cycle kicked in with a few hand towels. Another “issue” is the self-drying feature: this takes several hours. I don’t know that simply leaving the door open and allowing it to air dry is not a better solution. I like the machine but in retrospect, I would’ve purchased the middle model in the range. This one is a bit overpriced considering you get most of the feature with the lower model.

Pretty new but a few things I can say is its loud. Spins a lot and makes draining noises a lot. The air dry is more complicated than the sales person said. To dry the drum it spins for hours. When finished it is still wet on the seal

I went from a top-loader with an agitator to this front-loader... Night & Day. There are certain things I miss about my top-loader, but so far I love this washer. It is easy to use, has a lot of cleaning options, I really like the sanitize option. The venting works well, time will of course tell regarding "smell". Overall so far so good, I really like the washer and will update to 5 stars if it continues to perform this well with no issues.

Ok so I have adhd, and doing laundry is the bane of my existence. I forget about the wet laundry and I also forget to air out the washer so that there isn’t mold and mildew. This washer notifies me when there 5 left to the load, when the load is done and when it’s been sitting for too long! And then it vents right after. I swear this washer made my life so much easier and it holds so much as well! I usually can get all my laundry done in one big load. Love love love

I love the washer but this is the first front loader i have had that gets a mildew smell...quickly and easily. The airfresh option has the machine run for 12 hours which is way too long. Works great though and the app helps so much. Love the tide delivery too.

This unit is quiet, efficient, and visually very pleasant. The delivery staff were very efficient in their installation!

great machine. bug family and it’s going almost non stop for 2 years now. just make sure you just the right detergent, those paper like detergents strips will eventually clog the system and cause overflowing…but that’s on pretty much all washing machine models. the app functionality is amazing, alerting me when the cycles are over and reminding me if i forgot clothes in the washer (or dryer)

We have had this washing machine for about a month and it has seen a ton of use (we have a large household). I am impressed with the easy of use. Our previous washing machine struggles with our stinky teenage boys’ gear- particularly the scent. This washing machine leaves clothes smelling clean. I like the ultra fresh vent. It takes a long time to cycle through the vent, so I just run it overnight every few days. I am happy with this purchase and highly recommend this washing machine.

My old washer transferred an odor to all the clothes that was washed in in and this became unbearable. Nothing worked to eliminate the problem. This could have been caused by water remaining in the machine after the wash. I purchased a GE #GFW850. A beautiful machine indeed. This machine automatically adds the proper amount of detergent to every wash. Who knows how much detergent I was wasting with the old machine? After the wash cycle it has a button for a Ultrafresh Vent and it dries out the inside of the machine completely. What a concept. This is not a bottom of the line washer and the features it has justifies the price. Personally, I don’t have time to dry out the washer after every use. I knew nothing about washers but after talking to both the Best Buy Team Member and his manager I decided this was the machine for me.

The washer is definitely a step up from our previous front loader. Enjoy the features, especially the detergent auto dispenser!
