Was easy to set up. Was surprised at how much water it pulled out of the air. The handle to lift the container seems to be flimsy, so i dont use it. I am using the tube and the pump now. It was loud at first but now used to it. I would absolutely buy it again.

We love it 2 fold. Our old (why we didn’t replace the bucket emptier sooner) unit finally died. Tech wise it’s night and day. But the built in pump ( self draining) is just wonderful.

This dehumidifier does a great job removing moisture. The hose is left in a drain; the unit cycles on & off as necessary. Unit does a good job sensing moisture.

It worked great, until it didnt. Warranty is horrible, youll have to buy another GE product and submit receipt to get a visa card loaded with the $ you’ve spent on the original item. Then, it is only up to the amount you paid for original Minus the amount you spent on replacement… so be prepared to overspend

Second one I’ve bought first worked well for three plus years then just stopped working no error message. Just ran but did nothing. Freon ok. Tried it with a newer model. 13 months later stopped working. Literally weeks after the warranty ended. Error massage and terrible shouting indicates a new motherboard t required. Not worth the investment Will try another company note.

This has made my life so much more comfortable. I didn’t know much about dehumidifiers only humidifiers. I don’t have air conditioning so on hot days in Southern California, it’s almost unbearable for me with the humidity. This dehumidifier has changed my life, making space in my home more comfortable.

This is a must have item for your dwelling if you live in the south. In the summer the tank fills up 2x per day! But as the weather cools off, it can go weeks without filling the tank. It is easy to use and gets the job done. My apartment went from 80% humidity to 50% easily.

Worked good, then it quit. Had bought 2 of them, but first one , then the other also quit. Best Buy warranty covered most of the loss.

Worst Product ever(Eb) error code

I wish I could give 0 star for this product. Complete garbage. My first was gave me error code Eb with in 3 months. Contacted GE and instead of sending me a replacement they send be goodwill certificate, the whole process took over 10 weeks.
My second gave me the same Eb error code within few months of using as well. Contacted Best Buy and they asked me to bring it to the store just to tell me that I needed to contact GE.
Contacted GE again and same process sent me a GoodWill certificate instead of sending me replacement. What do they want me to do with 2 that are bad (Pay to dispose them). Why is GE not fixing this Eb error that everyone is getting. They should know by now that there is a flaw in their product.
Do not spend money on this product.
I would like to challenge people who has given 5 Star to let me know if the product is still operating after a year.

Stay away from GE dehumidifiers - this is the 3rd unit I purchased and all 3 died within 90 days of install. It seems the sale of GE appliances to Haier a number of years ago means quality no longer exists. Sadly, GE warranty support forces you to purchase yet another destined to fail dehumidifier and customer support is atrocious to deal with, it's a hassle all around and one delay after another, you're lucky if you get a response at all.

E6 Error code all the time

Bought this unit a year ago and used it one sumer and it kept throwing an E6 error code everyday. You unplug the unit to reset it and a day later it comes back on. Very annoying. I feel its a lemn. Calling GE.

This item was a warranty replacement for the same item that gave a E6 error. I received a replacement and now the same error comes up. Do not purchase this item.

Absolutely awful. First one worked a few weeks then got an E6 error which can't be fixed, and I had to go through a long and painful process with GE, only to get a credit to reimburse for a new one which failed with the SAME error after a few weeks. I can't believe a company like GE won't recall these. If I saw it twice they have seen it a million times. I will never buy anything from GE ever again. It is the worst and they will not stand behind it.

Trash, worked great for 2 months. Now all I get is error code E6. I have to buy another GE dehumidifier per GE customer service and they will reimburse via a rebate coupon.
