Stay away from GE dehumidifiers - this is the 3rd unit I purchased and all 3 died within 90 days of install. It seems the sale of GE appliances to Haier a number of years ago means quality no longer exists. Sadly, GE warranty support forces you to purchase yet another destined to fail dehumidifier and customer support is atrocious to deal with, it's a hassle all around and one delay after another, you're lucky if you get a response at all.

This has made my life so much more comfortable. I didn’t know much about dehumidifiers only humidifiers. I don’t have air conditioning so on hot days in Southern California, it’s almost unbearable for me with the humidity. This dehumidifier has changed my life, making space in my home more comfortable.

We love it 2 fold. Our old (why we didn’t replace the bucket emptier sooner) unit finally died. Tech wise it’s night and day. But the built in pump ( self draining) is just wonderful.

This dehumidifier does a great job removing moisture. The hose is left in a drain; the unit cycles on & off as necessary. Unit does a good job sensing moisture.

I wish I could give 0 star for this product. Complete garbage. My first was gave me error code Eb with in 3 months. Contacted GE and instead of sending me a replacement they send be goodwill certificate, the whole process took over 10 weeks. My second gave me the same Eb error code within few months of using as well. Contacted Best Buy and they asked me to bring it to the store just to tell me that I needed to contact GE. Contacted GE again and same process sent me a GoodWill certificate instead of sending me replacement. What do they want me to do with 2 that are bad (Pay to dispose them). Why is GE not fixing this Eb error that everyone is getting. They should know by now that there is a flaw in their product. Do not spend money on this product. I would like to challenge people who has given 5 Star to let me know if the product is still operating after a year.

This is a must have item for your dwelling if you live in the south. In the summer the tank fills up 2x per day! But as the weather cools off, it can go weeks without filling the tank. It is easy to use and gets the job done. My apartment went from 80% humidity to 50% easily.

This item was a warranty replacement for the same item that gave a E6 error. I received a replacement and now the same error comes up. Do not purchase this item.

If you live in FL You need this dehumidifier running at all time or for a Basement or Attic. This is a programable High Quality Unit

I really enjoy the dehumidifier. This is the first one i bought with a pump and it takes all the hassle of having to empty the water out.

Absolutely awful. First one worked a few weeks then got an E6 error which can't be fixed, and I had to go through a long and painful process with GE, only to get a credit to reimburse for a new one which failed with the SAME error after a few weeks. I can't believe a company like GE won't recall these. If I saw it twice they have seen it a million times. I will never buy anything from GE ever again. It is the worst and they will not stand behind it.

Bought this unit a year ago and used it one sumer and it kept throwing an E6 error code everyday. You unplug the unit to reset it and a day later it comes back on. Very annoying. I feel its a lemn. Calling GE.

Use this machine for few months,so far so good. But lately sound louder than before. I hope it will last for few years.

This is a really good dehumidifier. Its quite, and efficient. I really like the “pump” feature and the long drainage hose. I would recommend this to family/ friends.

This dehumidifier is an excellent product. It dehumidifies flawlessly.

After 2 months of use in a finished basement, I keep getting the E6 error (Humidity sensor issue). I tried the remedies shown online, but it still throws the E6 error. Save your money and look for another brand.

Trash, worked great for 2 months. Now all I get is error code E6. I have to buy another GE dehumidifier per GE customer service and they will reimburse via a rebate coupon.

I purchased this product and installed it according to the manual. In 5 minutes I realized it is malfunctioning. The problem is with the pump. When you turn the machine on and hold the Timer button for 3 seconds, the PumpOn lightcoms on and it is steady. After 3-4 minutes, the unit is beeping 2-3 times and the PumpOn light starts blinking, That's it, no pumping when the bucket is full, the unit stops working as the pump does not do its job. Neither the manual, nor the GE website says nothing about such behavior, and calling them does not help either. From other reviews, I learned that GE does not repair their dehumidifiers, at best providing reimbursements for purchase of another THEIR dehumidifier. I bought the BestBuy plan for extended warranty but that plan kicks in only after the manufacturer warranty ends. So, long story short, this grey piece goes back to store. I hope to find a better brand that cares about their customers. Save yourself a hassle and skip on this formerly famous brand name.

No need to drain water tank just place hose into nearby drain the automatic features are the best
