Pump died in under two months. To their credit, GE gave me a voucher for the purchase price to apply toward another GE product.

never had luck with Dehumidifiers but i think we finally found one here. working like a charm

So far so good. This one replaced a smaller dehumidifier that just stopped running after a few hours and needed to be power-cycled to start up again. This GE 50-pint model has been running non-stop, keeping a old damp basement dry, for 4 months at this point.
We're sorry to hear your dehumidifier isn't working as expected, and we'd like to look into your situation further. We recommend disconnecting the dehumidifier from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting, to reset it. We have tips regarding the unit not dehumidifying as it should on page 9 of the manual; that can be viewed when you look up the model number on our GE Appliances website, go to the product's page, and view the 'Owner Support' section. General troubleshooting is also available on page 9. Not super noisy. Works great!. Abdobs all the humidity from multiple room.

Just set it and attach a hose and it basically works by itself. Very efficient and not very loud.

I've found this line of GE dehumidifiers to be very reliable. This is my 4th one purchased. All are still 100% functional and are getting used seasonally eveey year.

Dehumidifier died after only 7 weeks. On top of that, the GE warranty process was very cumbersome and time-consuming, taking over an hour bouncing between customer service reps before someone finally told me it was dead and I just needed to buy a new one at my own expense, after which I could apply for a reimbursement that would take 8 weeks to arrive. Terrible product, and terrible customer service process.

love it--I bought another GE dehumidifier about 11 months ago--I
loved that one also but it stopped working after 10 months--I had a year warranty--I contacted GE & they were so nice--gave me the
money to buy this one--was really a win-win situation--this one is nice & quiet--works like a charm.....

My dehumidifier stopped working after only three months of operation. Calling customer service (which was manned by an outside company), they offered a reimbursement. This reimbursement would only happen AFTER I spent my own money, mailed (no option to email) in a copy of my receipt, and waited up to 14 business days for the reimbursement; basically making the process as complicated and risky as possible.
