We live in a very rainy place and the mold/wet smell was overbearing. With this we were able to clean the air of the smell and humidity. Only issue i ran into is error codes popping up and what feels like the generator overheating and melting/bubble is plastic near it. Working with GE for a replacement.

Posted .We want to assist with your dehumidifier's draining. Model ADYR50LC does not have a built-in pump, but draining can be set up through a hose. This method uses gravity to drain through a hose to a floor drain, and setting this up is discussed on page 7 of the manual. The manual can be viewed on the Best Buy product page at the bottom of the 'Features' section. If you're still having an issue with the hose after viewing that, we have an article with tips on our GE Appliances website titled "Dehumidifier - Drain Hose Issues"; that can be viewed when you look up the title and click the 'Support' tab.

It is quiet and extremely efficient, shutting off when it reaches the desired humidity level, then turning on automatically when that level gets too high. It is on wheels and hooks up easily to a drain hose for easy water dispensing to our drain. We are VERY pleased with this unit.

It dries out the area fast but doesn't over heat the area as many dehumidifiers will do when running. With the built in Humidistat it automatically maintains the humidity level to where you set it. It works so great and I was so happy with I went back back and purchased another one for my office.

And that's only using it during summer months! These are Heavy and difficult to carry and dispose of. Annoying it doesn't work longer.

This replacement dehumidifier is operating just fine with a hose draining to a sump pump facility.

Broke in less than a year

Had an LG one that ran for years but this one, gave me an “Eb” error code within 9 months of use.
