Dried clothes to perfection. Replaced a 1988 dryer and what a difference. Pictured prior to installation.

My biggest problem was I had limited depth to work with. This dryer has a flat back, so it fit nicely into my allowable space. The dryer has plenty of features for what I need, and appears to work nicely (although I've had it less than a month). This is my first gas dryer, so I'm hoping that I see some savings, but time will tell. I'll post another review after I have a longer time to use it.

We needed to find a dryer of a certain width & depth. Once I realized Best Buy had the correct size, we were thrilled to learn it's a GE dryer. We've had much success with GE appliances in the past so the brand was reassuring. I was a bit concerned about the controls being on the top of the dryer as opposed to the front panel like our previous dryer. It hasn't been an issue moving our laundry baskets to see & use the controls. The controls are very easy to use & the dryer while running is very quiet! Much quieter than the dryer we had to replace. We also like the alert button which can be set to varying volumes, alerting you when your laundry is done. Lastly, we needed the propane conversion kit & set-up. In speaking with salespeople at other stores, along with online research, Best Buy was the only store that would install the propane conversion kit. With anyone else we would've had to buy the conversion kit, then get a plumber to complete the install. Overall, happy with our purchase & the installation.

This dryer is easy to use, and has plenty of cycles to choose from. It is the perfect compliment to my new GE Washer.

Overall, a solid choice that was motivated largely because it has a flat back when compared to other gas dryers. Still has a large drum and many temperature and time options. The only issue is that you have to slam the door pretty hard to get it to close. Seems like they could fix that so it opens and closes more easily.

The GE dryer was the replacement for a Whirlpool dryer which simply did not dry clothing. What’s the use of having a dryer that doesn’t dry clothes? 3 hours for 5-6 towels. C’mon. The GE actually works quite well, and we are thrilled to have it as a replacement for the Whirlpool. What more can I say besides it was reasonably priced, fits well in tight spaces, and does the job it was intended to do. Kudo’s to BestBuy for standing behind us throughout this long process. They are an excellent company to do business with.

This dryer works very well. Our old one (which was only 7 years old) was cheaper and it took 2-3 times to dry.... this dryer dries efficiently.... the dryer make a little more noise than our other one did when it was working properly. But it is not so loud that we have to increase the volume of the TV.... this is our second one bough because immediately after the install of the first one, the pilot light went out and he entire house smelled like gas. Other downfall, it took 3 weeks to deliver the first one and then 3 weeks for the 'exchange' on the exact same dryer. Being without a dryer for 6 weeks was terrible.... but it works great now!

The washer works well but the agitator noise is a little louder than I expected, especially since the washer is located inside the house and not in the garage.

I have a small space for a dryer, so when my old one finally broke down, I didn't have too many selections to choose from. This is the perfect size for my dryer space and still can dry pretty large loads. It is quiet and efficient.

I’ve had the dryer for one month and it makes a very loud squeaking noise. I already had a warranty service call from GE which was absolutely useless. The service technician took the machine apart, tightened screws which did nothing to help. The dryer continues to squeak loudly while in use. I guess I will just have to keep calling GE service until they fix it or replace the unit. Otherwise it works fine. I knew drying time would not be quick before I bought the unit. I’m okay with that. I just can’t tolerate the squeaking noise. Very frustrating. I bought it because it was the only normal sized dryer that could fit in my space. My old machine lasted 30 years and didn’t squeak.

Even after 60 min, my clothes/towels were still damp. Took 2 heavy towels out to hang dry and ran the rest of the clothes another 70 min. Shouldn't take this long. Expected better performance for the over $600 that I paid for this dryer. Will report this. Ducts were cleaned not too long ago.

Waited three weeks for this. Installed and it does not work. Horrible noise and will cycle for about two minutes and shut off. Now waiting three weeks for another dryer. Terrible product

Installed in November, heat stopped working in early April. GE’s warranty service came 2 days after we called (they had originally scheduled for week out, but I complained) and won’t be able to possibly fix it for another 5 to 7 business days. They don’t carry any parts and guessed which parts may be required to fix it. Last GE product for us!
