After 24 years, I replaced my GE washer and dryer set with models that are similar to what I had. I loved my old washer and dryer and was sorry to see the washer start dripping oil. My old dryer has a place at the lake house since it was still going strong. My new dryer has a wonderful light inside which is really helpful. I bought GE brand because I love the ease of cleaning the lint trap in the front of the dryer as opposed to pulling out the big filter on the top of other models where the lint flies all over the room and is annoying. My new GE dryer's lint filter is in the same place, but is plastic and seems a little wobbly. I don't think the filter will last 24 years! Ha. I have only used this 2 weeks, so don't have much experience, but so far it is working fine and has dried the clothes well. I like that it flips them after drying if you don't get to empty the dryer right away.

I'm very pleased with this dryer. It is so much quieter than any previous dryer I've owned. It has a huge capacity, and most importantly, gets things dry! It seems to me that the dry cycle is shorter than I've had before, so dry clothes in less time. But that's just a feeling - I never timed the old or the new to compare.

I bought this dryer with the matching washer. I have no complaints - dries clothes in a timely manner, and I even have the option of turning off the loud annoying buzzer.

Very fast and quiet dryer. Perfect for when your old one dies and you don't want to spend 1000 on a fancy one.

I have a GE "Energy Star" washer which can only apparently save energy by NOT GETTING CLOTHES CLEAN! Bought it because it had a stainless steel tub and because of GE's reputation for making great products. Was I disappointed! So, when I needed to replace my 20-year Amana dryer recently, I wasn't sure that purchasing a GE product would be a prudent purchase -- but this dryer made no claims about "saving energy," so I took a chance. Glad I did: I love EVERYTHING about it (optional timer buzzer, Perm Press wrinkle guard, timed drying or Auto Dry feature and INCREDIBLY easy lint filter. This dryer is just great, and I hope it lasts 20 years!

The lint trap could be better. Have to remove the screen to empy it and then vacuum the housing after ward; otherwise lint builds up in the housing. Not a big deal, mostly just when drying towels.

Love that I can fit my queen comforter in it and only have to dry it in one cycle vs two normally in other dryers.

Definitely glad that I didn't buy the cheapest dryer that Best Buy carried. This is worth the extra money and works to perfection.

The lint catcher is in the front and seems to do the job so far. The book says it will need professional cleaning periodically - we'll see. I love the size of the drum for tumbling and the choices of drying cycles.

the purchase of my new dryer was the best choice for myself. you don't even know it is running it is so quite. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs a new dryer.

I really like this dryer. It has the right settings for me without too many choices.
