I don’t use the griddle that much so this works great and looks great. I can always take it off and put the griddle back on should I choose to use it so it gives me that option. I would recommend buying this. Best Buy had the best price too with free delivery.

I don’t use a griddle very often and preferred having a grate. It makes the whole top the same height and uniform. You can easily move pots from one place to another. I think it makes the range look more like a professional one. I love the look.

Allegedly cat iron and would have expected it to last. Definitely not worth the $80 expense since it's not made to last much more than a year.

We have 2 long oval pans we use for cooking whole fish, asparagus, and other long food items. Though we never use the griddle that came with the range, we do keep the griddle on top and this grid in the oven because the griddle keeps splattering grease from the other burners from falling through the middle grate.
