Smashed beyond belief

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to receive this, delivered to my home in a box with no bumps or scratches or tears. Although my new GE range has a griddle in the center, I also wanted a burner grill. Then to my dismay when I opened it, I was shocked to find that although it was packed in bubble wrap, it was smashed into pieces! At first I thought the wrong item had been shipped, but as I unpacked it, I realized it was the right item, but unbelievably smashed. How does something made of cast iron get so damaged? So I had to drive 20 miles round trip to the nearest BB store to return it, and another one is now on order, which I’ll have to pick up at the store—but lesson learned, I’ll require that the box be opened and the grill examined before I make another 20 mile round trip. Hopefully it will be in good shape, and I’ll be able to submit a more positive review of it.

If you want to replace the griddle, you have another option. For the price you're paying for the range, both should be included. It definitely doesn't need to be $50+. 4Stars for high pricing.

Not worth it

It came broken in 4 pieces and had to call to get it exchanged. Very disappointed in this product from GE especially for the cost

It's sold as an accessory for all ranges. It doesn't come close to fitting the range the range we purchased. And, it took three weeks to arrive.

Broken grate
