Bad Quality lights

Horrible lights. I prefer setting the lights to the 'Daylight' setting but it keeps frequently getting reset to a lemonish yellow color. The lights also lose wi-fi connection pretty frequently even though they are very near to the Wifi router.

I purchased these because they were a great value compared to the similar Philips lights. However, the lights are only as good as the firmware and app, the both are terrible with the GE product. I never know what is going to happen with these fixtures; they have a mind of their own! The lights randomly turn themselves on and off, change colors while on, and do not always stay in sync when grouped in one room. In fact, sometimes one light will totally disconnect, and the only way to reconnect it is to perform a reset. If you have many lights on one switch, say in a kitchen, this means you reset every light on that switch, and have to go through the time consuming and buggy installation process. The "routines" are not intuitive at all and really just do not work. You cannot set it so that the lights are programmed to a certain color or brightness depending on the time of day that you turn the switch on. That's really the whole point of smart lights and is table stakes. If GE updated the firmware and software, these could be great. But I really wish I had spent the extra money and got the Philips instead. I am considering returning these, but it's a massive pain to disconnect these from my high ceilings. Also, we had to drill bigger holes than the 4" holes we had for my existing lights.
