    Complicated app

    Bought on daily deals for $15.00 for 4 bulbs. Requires you turn on location on your phone, my two other brand smart equipemt doesn't require this. Setting up on/off is complicated compared to the other smart equipment I have. Not worth the hassle.

    Awful Smart Lights

    Never stays connected to the network. If you power them off, Google Assistant can no longer see them. Factory resetting them takes forever and doesn’t guarantee that they’ll work when reconnected.

    This has never worked. Can't rate something that doesn't work. Should have been easy but no so with Geek Squad.

    My 3rd brand of smart bulbs and by far the worst! Setup is a complete pain as the app is terrible. Took over an hour to set the four bulbs up. Go with Phillips Hue or literally any other brand.

    Being a smart LED, it is very complicated to add to the GE app and impossible to integrate into Google Home without that app. Needed multiple tries even to add it to the app. Bad quality control from GE.

    Does not work. I bought this last year(2019) and had to return it because it stopped working. Decided to buy again this year (2020) and I’m having the same issue. I can’t return it because I lost my receipt

      Sorry to hear that the Direct connect light option was not able to connect. Our direct connect lights have only been out a few months. Make sure when you are attempting to add these that you select Direct Connect instead of bluetooth like your previous lights. These Direct connect bulbs connect to a 2.4ghz wifi network to function.     3 stars because it doesn't work with all lights, too hard to use. Hard to use in anything but a table lamp that isn't a 3 way.

    Frequently loses connection

    I have been using about 10 of these in our home for a couple years total. My biggest complaint is reliability. They work with Google Assistant about 70% of the time. Too frequently, they randomly stop working with Google. This will last days, sometimes weeks, before mysteriously beginning to work again. It has begun to be more of a pain, than a convenience. I would try a different brand, or just flip a switch.

    Horrible. Over priced light bulbs. Can't even connect to bluetooth to even attempt to see how they work. Better off buying a smart plug. Regret this purchase and wish I wasn't outside the return date

    They’re basically trash... won’t stay connected to WiFi and/or Google Home, so what’s the point? You’d be better off getting cheap, non-WiFi LED bulbs from the grocery store.

    Don't buy . .worst smart bulb ever ...does not sync ..software has a lot of bugs often crashes... There are other bulbs that are better build and native to Alexa or Google

    LED on the screen started failing

    With in one year, the product is not working as expected. LED on the screen started failing. I don't recommend this one.

    Worst lightbulbs out there. They start blinking randomly and won’t stop. Even if you turn them off and back on sometimes it still doesn’t become a solid color.

    Bought these for someone in another country but found out upon set up that they Can only work in the US/Canada. That should be easily visible on the box.

    The is no way this product is truly 4.3 stars. I'm very technical yet cannot get all 4 bulbs to setup in Google Home. I highly do not recommend.

      Hi Frank. We are very sorry to hear you aren't enjoying your experience so far and are happy to help! It's possible that they might need the firmware updated. You can do this by deleting any in the Google Home app and then adding to the C by GE app. Once you've added all 4, run the prompted firmware update. Then delete the bulbs from the C by GE App and pair with Google again. If you require further assistance, please call us directly at 1-844-302-2943. - C by GE Support

    One of the bulbs didn’t work and the others flicker a lot, which is super irritating. Haven’t had that problem with other smart bulbs.

    These lightbulbs are the worst smart balls I’ve ever purchased. They do not stay connected. They are not reliable. I ended up returning all of mine that I ordered stay clear of this brand.
