We purchased this unit to replace our old Spacesaver model. We use it for reheating only as we also have a Advantium unit. The PEM31SFSS slid right in the cabinet space of the old unit and looks a lot better. This compact microwave is the perfect size for what we need it for - reheating.

I need a microwave with a narrow depth to fit inside a kitchen cabinet. This one is a perfect fit. Its 800w but works as well as my larger unit.

Its quiet and the stainless steel finish is pretty. It is the only microwave that fits in my opening.

You buy this model to hang it from your cabinets, leaving the counter free. It is the only cabinet deep unit made that is not an over the stove unit. It is low powered (800 watts) and built like a tin can. It is also expensive for what it is.

Because I had a GM profile space maker 2.0, I had no chance other than buying this 800W microwave for over $300. Had to buy the trim too, once the previous model did not fit. Kinda of wasting resources from both ways: money and aluminum. Good thing is it fit the original space perfectly, and it was easy to install by myself.

Replaced and old GE profile. Fits well but gets lots of fingerprints. A lot quieter!

I purchased model #PEM31SF2SS to replace the old model PEM31SM3SS. The new model is very cheaply made in comparison. When you shut the door it sounds like a tin can and the numbers are so small and hard to read.

I didn't have a lot of options short of getting the replacement model for our old MW. It hung under a corner cabinet and I was hoping for an exact replacement size. The mount is different (another $50) by an inch or two. Still, I managed to hang it successfully. Way over priced though. Don't go custom with a MW.

Ordered this microwave to replace a supposedly identical one -- exactly same part number. Beware the sizes are not exactly the same, plus the mounting holes are in different places. I noticed the microwave is no longer branded as "GE Profile" but simply "GE". As a result, installation/replacement was not as simple as anticipated.

This space saving oven does all I need in a microwave. It has all the important features in a smaller package than a traditional larger microwave. It’s especially perfect in countertop applications. I’d buy it again.

This is a serious upgrade from my 1992 GE Spacemaker (that was still going strong) and it looks great, but boy does this thing show fingerprints from my messy kids. My old one was white and I kind of wish I didn't pay the extra $100, or whatever it was, for the stainless steel.

Needed a microwave sooner rather than later so went to Best Buy as I knew they were available. The oven is the same brand as I had purchased in 2006, but larger, making it unable to fit into the cabinet. Overall, the operation is similar but with a few idiosyncrasies. The key pad is not as easy to use, but overall I will not replace it until it shows some age.

The door is flimsy as others have reviewed. It did go in the built in space. There was minimal operating directions. Some things have been hard to figure out. Thus the reason for the 4 star. Otherwise it works great.
