Our last GE profile built in microwave lasted 20 years & I absolutely loved it. Of course I ordered the same microwave recently, only in black. I must say I am disappointed in that there is no light on the control panel. It is very difficult to see even in the daytime & also has small print. Sometimes the door does not open properly. The latches are made of plastic!!!! This is very annoying! We ordered the black trim & it is plastic & DOES NOT fit, even though it is the matched model for this microwave! Fortunately I saved the old trim which has to be repainted but fits perfectly on my new microwave. So right now I have a new black microwave that the door sometimes opens quickly & an old bisque colored trim which is made of very substantial metal. I feel very bad for the flaws in the production of the new model. GE can do better than this!!!!

I purchased the GE microwave for my kitchen to replace an old GE model that’s not available anymore. This is a pretty good model and I am happy with this appliance. Whether I'm defrosting, reheating, or cooking, it handles the task efficiently and I get consistent results. The control panel is intuitive and user-friendly. I can easily select cooking time and power levels. The presets are a nice touch for common tasks like popcorn or beverage heating. I also purchased the trim kit to match this microwave and it fit well in my cabinet. Would highly recommend this model.

This microwave has exceeded our expectations. It replaced the same model (ten yrs old) that stopped working. The front panel is entirely glass which is a good thing - amazing, really! It’s sturdy and sleek and DURABLE! The old one was all plastic, and likely what led to the early demise of the mother board touch panel. Anyway, thanks to the customer support at GE, they told us exactly which model would fit our existing space and trim kit, so it was a fairly easy install (we used Task Rabbit) and this microwave is much quieter. The only tic is that the interior for some reason is a dark gray, so it’s not as lit up as the old one. That’s not such a big deal. Excellent quality. Only been 6 weeks - I hope it lasts a while, Worth the price, and Best Buy was efficient, seamless order and pick up.

I have had GE products for years and the GE mico-wave this was replacing was 20 years old and just didnt well heat anymore. This is much larger (2.2 Cu. Ft. ) than prior unit at at 1100 watts you can pretty much warm/cook anything - a small turkey would definitely fit. I took off 1 star due top panel not lighting up when used (at this price it should I think). Since I was installing in a cabinet the power cord was a tad short in my opinion - I could not fit my arm in to plug it in - I had to use a high grade extension to be able to plug it. I do recommend but if placing in a cabinet expect to do some "cutting" to fit it in. And probably will need the trim kit too.

Good microwave--dislike that every time you have to buy a new built in GE microwave when the old one breaks down, you also have to buy a new trim kit. Dislike the dark interior of this microwave, though I do like the noise silencing options. The button to open the microwave stuck from day one, making it hard to pop the microwave open, but it took so long to get the microwave when we ordered it that I didn't want to bother to return it for a new one that might have the same issue. Hopefully the button will keep working to open the microwave though it is a pain that it doesn't work easily. Also, it is always difficult to figure out which trim kit we need when we buy these.

We are enjoying our new GE microwave. The look is exactly what we wanted. Item came in perfect condition. Microwave and Trim kit are a perfect combination. Good size for what we need. We replaced a whirlpool 1.7 cu ft unit that was starting to fail. Installation into our kitchen cabinet was very easy. The instruction manual that came with the microwave was very limited in detail so I downloaded the full manual from Best Buy website.

The microwave is very nice. It is sleek, very big inside, and looks very nice in my built in space. My only complaint is opening the door. The latch is not easy to use, sticks when you try to open it. Otherwise it is ok.

Honestly, I love the look of this microwave but I couldn’t rate this item because it does not fit the GE 30” trim kit. Microwave is too wide so I have to return it. Trim kit is model cx153m2ns5. According to the instruction booklet of that trim kit the only model microwaves it fits is ccwk15c1 or ceb515. You’re welcome.

My old one was installed when we purchased our house new. It lasted just 5 years this year. Was disappointed in that because the Profile series is a bit pricey. But this one is great so far. I like that this newer, updated model will not allow your to simply "punch" the open button (the door is locked). You have to hit the cancel key and then punch the open button. Also, it can be controlled and set via Wi-Fi. Still trying to figure it out, but I LOVE that option is available!

I am hopeful that it lasts. I had another one that died after about 14 months. That one was from an online retailer, and it arrived with a dent in the back. I tried to replace it twice from the same online retailer, and each unit they shipped had some sort of damage. I had the trim kit, which is way overpriced no matter where you buy it, so I has hoping to find a good unit to go with it. I ended up buying online through Best Buy and picking it up in person. The box and microwave were in good condition, and this one has been running well with plenty of daily use over the past 16 months.

This mw oven works fine. However, the wrong trim kit was provided in the delivery so the oven could not be installed when delivered. We set it in the hole so we could use it, but it was a real topic of conversation for weeks when friends and family visited. Rather than wait for another installation appointment, I installed it myself when the correct trim kit arrived weeks later. Is there any way this embarrassing situation can be adjudicated?

Bought this GE Profile microwave to replace an earlier Profile with a failed control panel. This model is so very much quieter than our old Profile and the touch pad control panel is greatly improved. While this new unit has a volume control this is limited to either “normal” or “mute”-perfect for us but others may prefer a graduated volume control. This unit was very quick and simple to install using the matching trim kit. Giving the microwave 4 stars only because our existing trim kit would not work with this unit despite the two microwaves being of the same dimensions. I certainly recommend this microwave and would purchase again!

This microwave replaced an older version we had. It looks pretty nice and it is easy to use. The only concern I had is that in heating milk for coffee, I thought the sensor would control the heat. Instead, I had to stop it when I saw the milk boiling and continue to run.

recently purchased the GEProfile Microwave, and I am thrilled with its outstanding performance and convenience. This powerful appliance ensures even cooking with no hot or cold spots, while the user-friendly interface and pre-programmed options make cooking a breeze. Its spacious interior, smart sensor technology, and sleek design add to its appeal. A durable and reliable investment for any kitchen. Highly recommended!

The size was a good fit. It is deeper than my old one. Not sure why WiFi is on the microwave.

Gray in color almost black, the frame will be stainless steel when fully installed in January. Microwave is nice and works better than our old 2008 model, shows a great deal of fingerprints.

We had the older version of this microwave and it worked great up until about a month ago. It started arcing inside with everything so we wanted to get the same one. The newer model is wonderful. It has WiFi built in and connects to an app to let you know when the timer is up and allows you to monitor cooking. It’s missing the mute button but other than that, it fit the existing tracks and faceplate and looks identical.

Replacing a microwave that stopped working, I was able to position this model in the exact location of the old microwave and use the same trim pieces.
