Not a fan of GE products of late. Our last Profile exploded and GE gave me $100 towards a new one. So, since it is the only microwave that will fit in that space, I ordered another. As luck would have, I also had to order a new trim kit. I installed it but now had to call GE to come out as it doesn’t open all the time.

Very easy to instal. Love the look of the microwave. The inside is large and our slide is sleek. No complaints!

Product looks good with a glass display, which is great because the numbers and letters want wear off. It's also a little quieter than my older profile microwave. The inside is grey, which I don't particularly like, but my wife do.

I bought the wrong microwave and the exchange was a bad experience. Then they didn’t tell me I needed an install kit to make the microwave fit the built-in space. Had to order it separately it took 2 weeks to get the part. I installed it myself and it was easy to do.

Coming from the previous model I wanted a easy swap. While the swap was easy the new updated microwave have different buttons. They're so odd I don't know how to describe them. I have to press the buttons multiple times. Sometimes when I'm trying to select a certain button it picks the button above a below it. The new button system is a complete travesty.

Had to replace my current GE microwave with this one that is similar. The unit looks good and has the same feature from my previous GE unit from 10 years ago. Nothing much has changed between the two unit spaced a decade apart other than the looks and the different trim to do a cabinet install.

I purchased GE# PEB7227ANDD on April 7th, 2020 to replace a similar, yet older GE stainless steel model that failed after ~8 years. Since GE no longer makes a stainless steel looking microwave, I selected this finish, which kind of looks good with the matching trim kit and has a similar aesthetic to the housing on the front of a GE oven (if you have one in your kitchen). Here are the issues I encountered. The new and updated versions of the "built-in" microwaves will not work with older trim kits. You will definitely have to remove all of the mounting hardware from your cabinet and purchase the new trim kit to properly install this microwave. Not a big deal, but it is inconvenient (as opposed to reusing the old style kit) and takes some time and patience. Once installed, the microwave worked very well. The biggest drawback is, this unit is a finger print magnet. If you touch any part of the surface, you will now have a very distinct fingerprint. After a day or use, you will see every spot someone has touched, which, during a pandemic, is kind of a plus since you now have a reminder to clean your surfaces. And finally, the microwave stopped working after 4 months. I had to remove the trim, uninstall the microwave and pull it down from the built-in space. I could not access the fuse since, for some reason, this microwave requires a star Allen wrench to get the housing off, and I have every type of wrench other than a star. In all fairness, this microwave, when it could actually be powered on, did heat food, however I cannot give it more than 1 star due to all of the aforementioned shortcomings.

I had an installed GE Profile microwave that had to be replaced. I did my online comparisons and looked at reviews. Due to the size opening and change in designs to drawer or drop downs, I didn't feel I had much of a choice. I had to go with the newer GE Profile even though there were many reviews on which the door opener button broke at a year or less. I wrote to GE customer service to ask if the reliability had been improved. Instead, they told me how to properly press the button- firmly and in the middle. I have to say I got it at a great price as an open box item but I can definitely understand there customer concerns. Also, the duration of microwave does not seem accurate at less than 20 seconds.

This is a replacement for the 20 yrs old microwave oven that broke down expectedly. It’s quieter and looks more modern. Install was not that hard although the existing opening was bigger by half and inch. To solve it I nailed a half inch strip of wood and problem solved. The trim was perfectly matching the existing oven trim below. Happy with the product.

Good roomy microwave. Only problem is that it's supposed be fingerprint proof, that is not the case.

I had an earlier version of this oven which was provided to us by our builder. The same had issues with the plate within 2 years and the only option we had was to buy this one due to the size of the cabinet built in cabinet. No other options available.

We have a 12 year old version of this microwave and it finally died. This replacement and kit fit the same opening in our kitchen (surprisingly hard to find oven/trim kit combos for a specific size. Looks great in our kitchen. I short it one star as I just don't like the place they put the most-used buttons. It did not seem they put much thought into button location based on use frequency (like the cooking time button, most used of all) should be in a easy place to always find/see and it is not.

Arrived in perfect condition and works as advertised. I miss the "mute" button, replace with a "wifi" button. Who needs wifi connection on a microwave which typically cooks for 5 minutes or less?

This is a great product with useful features. Although I got the black one with stainless steel trim, I would have preferred a black matching trim.

Expensive but very good size for a built in microwave, I am waiting for the trim kit to arrive. The only issue for now is that the product manual is a two page quick setup, as delivered on the package. You need to go online at GE web-site to obtain the 22 page manual guide in PDF format. So far so good.
