Love this washer so much!!! Easy to use, quiet, & efficient. Love that there’s an app to tell me when my laundry will be done and when it’s complete because let’s be. Honest, we all forgot about it after starting the washer.

We purchased a GE front-load washer (model GFW850SPNRS) from Best Buy in January 2024 and had it installed a few days later. What we thought would be a simple appliance upgrade has turned into one of the most frustrating and emotionally exhausting experiences I’ve ever had with a retailer. Within just two months, I noticed the washer was making extremely loud noises during the spin cycle—something clearly wasn’t right. I contacted Geek Squad, and over the course of the next several months, they replaced several major components: first the inverter, then the main board. Despite all these repairs, the washer completely failed after about 13 months. Because the original model was discontinued, I was given a replacement unit: model PFW870SPVORS. I had to pay the price difference and purchase a brand new Geek Squad protection plan—on top of the original one I had already invested in. They also required me to purchase a new set of water hoses for installation, even though I was told I could return them if unused (which I did). The entire process was filled with unexpected costs and confusion. To make things worse, the replacement model doesn’t include the 1 Step Wash + Dry feature that the original machine had. Losing that feature, after everything I’ve gone through, just feels like one more disappointment. I don’t feel like I was given a true replacement for what I paid for originally. When the new washer was installed on April 4, 2025, I followed all instructions, ran an empty cycle as recommended, and then did my first actual load. The washer immediately began banging during the final spin cycle—it turns out the installer didn’t even level the legs properly. After everything I’ve already been through, this was incredibly disheartening. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone, waiting for service techs, explaining the same problems over and over. I feel completely helpless. No one takes ownership. It feels like I’m stuck in a cycle of poor installation, failed repairs, and bad communication. I’ve invested a lot—money, time, energy—and I’m still left with an appliance that doesn’t work as expected, and no resolution in sight. I’m sad, disappointed, and completely unsatisfied. I trusted Best Buy and Geek Squad to deliver quality products and reliable service, and I’ve been let down at every turn. I truly hope no one else has to go through what I have.

So easy to use anyone can do laundry. Very cost friendly. GE is the only way to go for all of your home appliance needs.

Wow! I thought at first I was being ridiculous buying an expensive washer and dryer set, but I was wrong! I absolutely love this set. I am doing three times the laundry in a day that i used to do, and in a home of 5 that is life altering

Love this washer! It does such a great job of cleaning the clothes. Love the automatic soap dispenser that holds detergent for many loads so you don’t have to put it in every time. Also has a dryer that will run after you finish a load if you are not doing another, so that the front gasket won’t get moldy.

We switched from top loader to front loader due to the clothes not coming out very clean. We are IMPRESSED!

So far, so good. Time will tell if a refurbished appliance will work out. Although it won't have to last long to perform as well as the new disposable appliances were being subjected to. First 30 years of adult life = 1 refrigerator, 2 washing machines, 2 dryers. 15 years since = 4 refrigerators, 4 washing machines, 3 dryers.

I love the available cleaning options; they're very efficient. Also, the Wi-Fi connection to the dryer and my app is a tremendous time saver. And I love the dark blue with chrome, it's very stunning - especially paired with the matching dryer

This is a great dryer. It’s very easy to use, which is great with kids. My kids use it often so it helps take some of the laundry duties off my plate. My only complaint is that the filter is a little difficult to clean. I’d buy it again for sure!
