I wanted to replace the largest GE Opal that I have had for 3 years with no issues until it finally went out this Sept., however Best Buy did not have that 1 in stock anywhere, so I couldnt order it either. I settled for the same icemaker but smaller, which they did ship to me. Less than a month of use and it stopped producing ice. I returned it but, because I bought the wattanty with Geek Squad, I had to have it sent to GA for them to try to fix it. I feel like since it was just at 1 month or less of use because of delivery time, the local Best Buy should have just replaced it. Im very disappointed in my purchase and with how the attempted return was handled.

I opened the package, and saw that there was water and scuff marks on the machine. I called Best Buy and they apologized and said they would order a replacement. They told me to take this one back to the store when my new one was ready for pick up. I was told my new one would be ready to pick up in 10 days. Why so long? when it only took a couple of days for this one to come. Well on the 10th day, I get an email stating my replacement wasn't there and said it would be another 8 days. Now that is after the 14 day return window. So I took the used one back to the store and just had them cancel my replacement and refund. Which they did, but I don't understand why it would take so long, when if ordered online that day it showed a delivery date of 2 days. Get it together Best Buy! No one wants to wait over 2 weeks for a replacement because you sent a used item. And how can they deliver so quickly on new orders, seems to me the replacement should have had a rush since it was their mistake in the first place!

Great machine, makes ice fast I would buy another. I would only buy it from Best Buy, Amazon refused to replace a brand new one I bought and would not turn on. All they would do is refund my money because the raised their price by a hundred dollars! I turned around and ordered a new one from Best Buy. They took care of business and I had it in a couple of days. From now own Best Buy has my business!

Makes great ice for both drinks and eating. Kids love it.
