We researched multiple GE Profile refrigerators for our new house. This struck the right balance of capacity and features. The best feature of all in a house full of tall people is side-by-side fridge and freezer. My wife and I are both 6' plus so the fact that we aren't stooped over, sorting frozen items from a bottom freezer was a deal MAKER for us. The refrigerator has a bin for meats & cheese, & produce/fresh food drawers with humidity control features and adjustable glass shelves and door pockets. Capacity is great at 25.4 cu ft (more than enough for a family of 3). Electronic controls are on the front along with the ice/water dispenser and it's a feature rich refrigerator. Warning: do not buy this model of you have tight space for a fridge. It is not counter depth. If you don't need counter depth it's a great value for the money!

Hi there. I'm trying to "pay it forward" with this review, because I benefited greatly from the reviews of others leading up to this purchase. We had a fancy (expensive) 4-door Samsung black stainless steel fridge for 4 years. It was a joke. Had the ice compartment replaced multiple times, and the repairs. Looked great, but on top of the other Samsung appliances I have now regretted buying (ALL OF THEM) - I'll never buy another one again. So it's back to GE, and this "old school but really pretty" side-by-side has been incredible. Don't always fall for the space measurements when reading about fridges. On paper, this one has less space than the Samsung French Door. But this GE has so much more USABLE space. Night and day. The controls are easy, doors seal nice, finish looks beautiful, doesn't get fingerprints, inside lighting is very cool. Stuff gets (and stays) cold quickly. I like the lighting on the outside too when you get ice/water. But my favorite feature, if you care (particularly coming from an ice maker from hell) is this ice maker. It's a MONSTER. I can't believe how fast it makes ice, and how MUCH IT MAKES - I love dumping most of the ice into a cooler for a "get away from COVID" picnic, and still having a ton of ice left! My only complaint, and it's mild - is that it's noisier than I would have expected for a GE Profile. Our family room and kitchen are open (together) so I hear it more. But it doesn't bother me. It's noisier than the Samsung, but the Samsung was such a piece of junk otherwise, who cares how quiet it was. The noise on this GE isn't even worth deducting a star. But if you can hear one in a store, and the sound is a big concern, I suggest trying (hard these days). We've had this thing now for over 8 months and I just could NOT be happier. LOVE IT. You will not be sorry with this purchase. One more thing. PRO TIP: Make sure your installer team gets the doors level. We didn't. Our team was really good (didn't scratch the floors or anything) but I think they forgot to check that. I can correct it myself, but I just haven't.

I replaced all my kitchen appliances, and readi many reviews. The refrigerator was the hardest to make a decision. I love this refrigerator. The biggest reason is it's quiet. I love the inside lights; they are bright and make it look stylish. I can place a bottle of water on the top shelf, and it will be cold, not frozen. I like the taste of the filtered water in this refrigerator, and have plenty of ice which is not stuck together. Very pleased with my purchase.

The ice maker is really big and holds 10 pounds of ice. This is what made me decide to get this model. The trend is to go with the on the door type of ice maker which only holds like 3.7 pounds of ice, this is no good for a family of five. The water filtration is good too and the water tastes great but the filters are like $50 at Walmart for branded and like $35 for generic. There is also a monitor on the ice panel display that will notify of filter change needed. The temperature setting and display on the ice panel is also very nice and there is a lock button so the kids cannot play with the ice and water dispenser. So far everything is working great and am very pleased with this fridge. Would highly recommend.

It was tough for me to buy this refrigerator but I wanted to match the rest of my appliances. The good, seems to be working as advertised. It has good led lighting. The bad, it can sometimes get noisy when running. The doors don’t have any mechanism to make the doors close, like other brands. Make sure you push the doors close because if you are too soft they will likely open back up. The stainless steel shows smudges.

i think this product is totally awesome! i love the lighting in each side! i love the spaciousness and the adjustability of all the shelves and the door shelves ... i hope this one lasts 30 years like my last one did ... i also like it that i was able to get it in white and didn't have to settle for chrome ...

Just had my new profile fridge installed. Very beautiful, incredible interior lighting, and much more room in the fridge side. Freezer may be a tad smaller than my last GE fridge, but superior ice maker and higher quality glass shelves in both the freezer and fridge. Very sleek and modern exterior design.

Pros quite, very nice led lighting, plenty of space, fast ice maker, looks great. Cons consistently have to wipe clean, stainless steel is not finger print resistance.

Nice product and works well. But absolutely does NOT fit as listed. The blown in insulation causes an uneven to, swelling the size beyond the list dimensions and causing difficulty in tight fits.

I have only had this refrigerator about a week but I love it. My last refrigerator I had for 26 years and it is still running, I hope this one last as long. The pull out glass shelves in the frige and freezer are great. I love the baskets in the freezer too. There is a lot of room in both. The only complaint is the freezer door should have another shelf for the top of the door but it does not come with one it only comes with 3 but there is room for 4. Other reviews have shown the frige to be noisy but this one is no more noisy then the previous one I had. There are a couple of design things that I do not like, If you want to remove the cover at the bottom of the frige you have to have a screw driver to do so instead of just being able to pull it out. The other is leveling the refrigerator is not a easy task unlike the older ones, you have to lift this frige with a pry bar and have a socket wrench to do so. You can't just level it on both sides while it is on the ground for faster leveling. you have to keep going back and forth between the legs and it takes a while. It makes a load of ice, fast too. It did take a while for the frige to get to the recommended temp but it was 98 degrees the day it was delivered and it had been in the hot truck for many hours. By the next morning it had finally reached its temp. Overall at this point I am very happy with my purchase.

So far I like my new GE Profile Refrigerator very much. It looks great and works well so far (I have only had it a little over a week). I wish the finish was fingerprint resistant.

Very nice. A tad bit noisy at times but nothing compared to the French door model we returned.

Just installed so far it’s wonderful. Great pull out wire bins on freezer side and a large ice maker. Great features!

It is all I hoped it would be. The digital technology makes it easy to use. It is spacious and easy to organize. The water and ice dispenser work perfectly.

Curbside delivery only during shelter at home. A bummer otherwise works great

Well lit and plenty of room. Just wish it had caps to cover the screws on the top of the refrigerator.

We had to have Geek Squad come out to fix refrigerator after only have it for 5 days because it was making so much noise. They came out and thought it best to replace the refrigerator because I was within the first 7 days and could still exchange it under the exchange policy. We got another refrigerator and it seems to be working properly now. The exchange process was a little confusing and took a while to get the new one though.

We love our new GE - Profile Series 25.4 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - High-Gloss Black. This is an excellent product, and we highly recommend it.

After reviewing many fridges, the GE models are the least problematic and last the longest. Great product plenty of bells and whistles but not too much like Samsung and other brands.
