Samsung finally made a headset anyone can afford, and it's worth every penny. This headset is great for watching movies and offers entertainment in a way you can't get from many other sources. Extremely satisfied.

For the price it can't be beat. In regards to the overheating issue it only overheats during initial use. After downloading whatever apps that you're going to use the overheating is at a minimum. I've had it for about a month now and the phone doesn't overheat anymore. The newer apps that are available work amazing. Very satisfied with my purchase. Way better than Google cardboard.

If you ever wondered what all the hype is about with VR but do not want to take a chance on blowing money on something you do not like, give this bad boy a try. Make sure your phone is compatible ( I am using a Note 5). Only complaint is that it can be blurry due to using the phones resolution but nothing to really break the deal with this.

The great VR has a lot going for it, its affordable, it adds dedicated sensors and controls to VR. My only real wish is that it came with a Bluetooth game lad since not all of thebpads out there are compatible. I'm glad I picked it up but be aware that you will see a screen door effect with the resolutions of current Samsung phones.

It's really great! And completely new experience no matter what program or app you download for yourself. Some games & apps say you need a game pad, but not really. The only complaint I & others have had is it can overheat pretty quick, depending on what is running. But I haven't had any real problems with it concerning the overheating causing problems w my phone or the VR. I think everyone should try it at least once!!!

I didn't even know about the VR until I got it. It is simple to learn how to use. The tutorial is very user friendly. My only issue is that there is no gyroscope setting for it. When watching movies on it, you have to be up right. The graphics are the best I have seen on device so far. Definitely worth the price!

While not perfect yet, it is a great introduction to virtual reality. Every person I have let use this product is amazed by it and sees the enormous potential of VR. This product only scratched the surface of an amazing technology in development. For the price, it is definitely worth buying and experiencing it.

Samsung is knocked it out of the park you will be absolutely amazed at the worlds you can explore the virtual landscape is endless and the Samsung Gear VR is all you need to reach Beyond what you could ever imagine crystal clear images perfect portable compatibility you'll tell all your friends they will all be amazed I use this everyday and it offers hours of endless entertainment.

I am a huge 3d fan so naturally I was super excited to get this product in my hands to play around with. It's easy to set up right out of the box and way easier than I thought it would of been to calibrate the thing. The only gripe I have is the apps eat up TONS of memory on your SD card or phone memory. I have a 32gb s6 edge plus and it ate my hard drive up big time. Other than that I love watching movies on this and seeing the 360 degree virtual experience movies u can download.. it's awesome

I am going to make this simple and short. If you are interested in VR but not ready to take the plunge needed for an Oculus Rift this is a good substitute. To throw down $100 and check out if you want to invest in a $2,000 VR setup this is a good investment. It works, no real hiccups, you get what you pay for. There are games and movies that will entertain you for hours, and new stuff is added regularly. I look at things like "How many lunches do I get for this price?" or "How many movies could I go see for this price?" compare that to how much you are about to spend an make your purchasing decision. If you want more info on what you get for the price go check out Samsung's or Oculus's websites to see all the things you can do with it. I am happy with my purchase.

While I know the upcoming VR headsets are going blow the Gear VR away, it's pretty awesome to have this as a fun accessory to play with in the meantime. If you've got a supported Samsung phone, to me it's a no brainer to get one of these. I have been showing it off to people I know and everyone's jaw drops and are blown away by it. I've been using it along with the google photo app to create spherical photos that you can view in Oculus 360 photos. It's pretty cool to show people real places that you've been and have it look just like how it was when you were there. My only complaint is the nose area is a bit hard on my admitted large nose. Other than that, it's light and comfortable to wear. For $99 if you already have the phone, this is a must have.

Great introduction to world of virtual reality. I have only had vr gear for a short time but every one who tries iit iloves it too. I am concerned with quality of the gear. Phone gets hot quickly. Button on side doesn't always respond with first tap. Overall great product.

Great product. It's more of a gimmick than anything else, however it is very cool to use. I see game play as the main use for this as watching a movie would just kill the battery and overheat the phone. The short videos, such as the Blue Angles and roller coasters, are very cool.

Great product, numerous of friends all agree. Wish it came with a game pad or dual hand joysticks just like it's predecessor. But overall it's good. Heats up my phone tho like no other. Great way to spend hours dancing around exploring the VR experience.

This was way better than I expected! An awesome experience! You really feel like you are there! The only thing is the phone can get hot after about 15 minutes depending on what you are doing, and the gear will recommend that you let it cool down.

This is a VERY Awesome product, but the overheating issue Needs to be addressed - $100 for 10-20 minutes at a time Just Isn't acceptable (galaxy S6)

Just awesome. I bought this item for my son on christmas and he loved it. Once I tried it I bought one for maself as well.

I will first say that this thing has a few major cons: 1. Overheating - It will run on my Galaxy S6 for maybe 10min with video before it overheats. This makes it very tough to enjoy with friends out of the box. 2. Most of the games can not be played because there it does not come with a controller. It is hard to even find the Samsung controller. I have purchased four games that I was excited to play and still have not been able to play them. I have tried the PS4 controller, but it does not work. 3. The sensor that detects if the device is being worn also makes it very tough to let little people watch or use the device. It will shut off when removed and requires the new wearer to press a button. As you are not wearing it, and can't see what the wearer is seeing, it is tough to let them use it.

First VR headset. While I had seen the older model demo'd in Best Buy I still didn't expect much for the price. Surprise! Very nice device with more apps than i'm willing to buy. Little heat issue with phone at first but that was fixed by clearing cache after upgrade. I could get used to this. Well worth the price.

If you have thought about getting a pair of these Samsung VR Gear Virtual Reality Goggles, treat yourself and buy a pair now. The quality of the virtual reality experience is so impressive I was left speechless. With a 360 degree eye-popping virtual environment, you need to remain seated to have a safe experience, you will reflexively try to avoid things coming near you ( like sharks) in one of the underwater experiences to trying to touch things. Get yourself some! Touch controls, comfortable to wear! Word to the wise, get more than one pair if you have a wife, and or kids, because if not you'll be arguing over who's gonna wear them next. And that my friend is real reality! Lol. 5 starz.
