As far as immersion goes, this is the best you can get for just a hundred bucks. The only thing that could be better is you only get about 30-45 minutes of use out of it, depending on what you are using it for, due to it over heating. Maybe an updated version will have cooling fans or something. Overall, awesome piece of tech for a great price.

If you are a Galaxy S (6 and up ) owner and don't really have the cash laying around for an O.R. unit. This is the perfect gateway to the world of virtual reality for you. I was sceptical at first, but curiousity got the better of me. 10 seconds after putting it on I realized how much I couldn't live without this machine. It's immersive. Throw on a pair of headphones and say goodbye to the real world for as long as your phone can stay charged. (Even though, there is also a connection so you can charge your phone while you play. There are 2 different adapters (micro USB & USB type C ) so that your phone will fit in perfectly. You know what? Stop reading. You're obviously curious. Go get one! $99. won't kill ya. I got the Gear VR wroth the purchase of the S7 Edge promo. I was initially skeptical but Me and my wife were really impressed. This is real VR. The motion is smooth and the game graphics are great considering your phone is making this happen. You can't beat this price to get a taste of VR. Highly recommend if you own s compatible phone. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because done apps crash somewhat frequently usually requiring the user to disconnect the phone from the Gear to fix the problem.

I love this so much. It is so cool! Only problem is the battery gets extremely hot in it. I have used it with two batteries. I just bought a new galaxy 5 a few days before this. Had to take it back and I got a new one at no charge. The battery gets super hot this in this unit. I can't leave it in for a whole movie because I think I may ruin the battery/phone. My friend put theirs in and the same thing. I gave a 4 because it is really cool. If it didn't get the phone so hot I would have given a 5.

This device is very cool. It's very easy to set up an you truly feel as if you are in whatever content you are viewing. My 14 year Olsen and his friends had a blast playing with it!!

I did some research online saw good reviews so I decided to buy it. I'm very happy with it. I would definitely recommend this product

Got this for my husband's birthday. Only downside is it heats up too quickly and drains the phone battery.

After tons of research I finally pulled the trigger and bought this VR tech. Let me tell you if you've used Google cardboard or the Chinese vr goggles (which I've used both) there is NO comparison what so ever. This tech is sharp and responsive. Only grips I have are that your nose hurts after a bit because the goggles rest on it (some foam like weatherstripping worked as a cushion ) and the pixel density isn't quite small enough. You will notice what's called the screen door effect BUT it's easy to look past. Everything is integrated into the VR experience like games and videos excluding a YouTube app and any google cardboard apps. Videos are pixalated but some are OK to watch. All the games are worth every penny and very immersing. Let me tell you... when your playing a murder mystery and you look in a mirror to see someone is standing behind you.... you will be wowed by your responce. Great buy... just pull the trigger and buy one!!

The virtual reality in this Samsung is excellent enjoy playing the games, and spend time playing with it a lot. The product has other features that could be used for drone flight with your cell phone, and can be looked into. The product functions well, the only drawback that I have found is a heating problem. They need to look into a cooling fan to keep the phone from heating up too fast. The only differences is that shortens your time of gameplay and time of cooldown. I recommend the product highly.

Cool way of bringing the phone and new tech into the world. Movies, games, videos, etc. come with this and can download more for it. Heard more apps are coming. Can't wait!

Best Buy was offering a deal for one day only in Feb: upgrade to a G6, G6 edge +, or Note 5 and get a free VR headset. Thought that was a cool deal, and I took it. Less than 30 days later, the same promo was being offered if you pre-order for the Galaxy S7. Heard from a friend that a year ago, some store inside a mall was giving away a VR headset called "Cardboard" for free. Does exactly the same thing as Samsung VR, but it's really made out of cardboard.

Great VR experience for a relatively low price. Using my S6 edge with it. Occasionally my phone will overheat and has to rest a bit but other than that it's awesome!

My daughters, 5 and 8, love it. Easy to use. Just need to fix the overheating after more than 20 min of use.

This vr unit is worth the price. This is a more budget based model. Easy to use however for more practicality make sure to pick up a Bluetooth controller for access to more games . nothing beats laying in bed with Bluetooth head phones watching Netflix or Hulu on the big screen. Hours of fun ...

This item was received as a free bonus from the S7 edge presale. I didn't know too much about before that. This item turned out to be a great surprise. It takes a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it you don't want to put it down. You really feel like you're part of the image and what you see. Never in a million years did I think my wife was going to like it. However the jokes on me. She is like a kid in a candy store when she is using it. I recommend to everyone who uses it to be sitting down since it's make everything you see seem so real.

This is a very cool vr head set. Works great never had a problem with it. The games and graphics are great.

No way to fully describe the experience. You feel part of the scene your looking at. The cage dive with sharks was absolutely amazing,seeing that I don't think I could do it real life. At one point I actually reached to touch something that was not there. It's a little awkward at first,but you soon get the hang of it. I'm not sure if I don't have my phone in secure enough,but it wants to fall out of the goggles. Other than that I was truly amazed!

Easy to use and set up on your phone after watching a simple YouTube video. It is a cool experience while wearing the vr. There are tons of things to watch and play where you definitely get the 3d effect. Only thing is your phone gets really hot while In the vr.
