This was my first VR experience and I was fairly impressed. It come with my phone bundle and I had considered selling it for the cash (I plan on eventually getting the ps4 vr), but I've decided to keep it since it is pretty darn cool. I don't know that I would go out and pay full retail price for this, but it's great as part of the bundle I got. The functionality seems to be fine, although it takes some time playing with it before it doesn't feel awkward. I also had to swap out the small plastic port adapter before my s7 would fit when I first got it. It seems comfortable enough, although my phone either dies or gets too hot before the headset becomes too bothersome.

I received the Samsung Gear VR with my purchase of the Samsung Galaxy s7 phone. I always wondered what the VR experience felt like and was pretty excited when I opened this up and started setting it up. I must say that if you have never used a VR head set then you are in for an experience. I wont say that you completely feel like you are in the video, but it's enough to make you feel like you can reach out and touch things. You can watch videos that you already have on your phone and look at your pictures also. It can make you feel a little dizzy, so you might not want to stand while doing it. It's fun just to watch others try it. There are many videos and games to watch, some free and some you pay for. As fun as it is at the beginning, I could see some people getting board with it after some time and it uses the phones battery up pretty quick. Over all, it is a good fun.

Forget about 3D glasses, VR is what's in. Initially it does take some getting use to. You have to remember this is a new technology in it's beginning stages so It is not going to do everything you expect. The graphics are nice but I am sure with time they will be a whole lot better. Programmers are releasing apps daily. This is the future of entertainment. The price is fair and I believe is not a loss of investment. You may not wear them everyday, I know I don't but the experience you do receive is priceless. No regrets here.

The Newest Gen Gear VR has a few changes, but the frost white legacy is still a great value. Enjoy full 360 VR with this device. Gear VR is definitely a cool piece of technology for Samsung phones. The experience is pretty incredible. Using the Gear VR will drain your battery quickly, so it's something to be conscious about. You may also experience performance issues of your phone is running other programs simultaneously.

Got this headset free when I purchased my galaxy s7 edge. Didn't even plan on taking it out the box but curiosity got the best of me. I was very surprised at how much I actually enjoyed using it to watch Netflix and play games. I looking forward to seeing how they improve on this in the future.

I had purchased the Samsung vr for the note 4 and now have the galaxy s6 edge plus so thought I'd give this one a try. The price is a lot better for this one. There have been a few improvements to this one, and it's lighter, that's nice. Happy with my purchase.

After all the hype coming from the virtual reality products in the last year, I knew I'd have to give one a try. I was hoping to get the PlayStation headset. Unfortunately not only is it really expensive, but it was practically impossible to get during the holiday shopping season. So when I seen this one retails at $100 I was super excited. It's a great experience that you probably wouldn't expect if you have never tried VR. The only reason for giving it 4 stars is that it starts to get boring after a few hours. Great for parties and get togethers!!! Also keep in mind there's a suggested age requirement...I think it's like 12 and up.

The Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus its Espectacular. Easy to setup and doesn't consume a lot of battery life. Being a fanatic of technology I have being following the Virtual Reality progress, and the wait has being worth it. Games, apps, movies, etc. The Oculus Store it's an expanding market that in two or three years more content will be available to everyone in the world.

It's not Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, buts it's a darn good entry in the VR game. No it won't compete with the big boys any more than your phone can compete with your desktop on anything else from a specs perspective. But if you want to do VR now until you have money to pony up for Sony, or the PC VR entries, this is a solid buy--that is, if you have a capable Samsung Galaxy phone.

I bought the VR so I could let the wife sleep at night while using my phone. Little did I realize how it would change my world. Virtual reality is definitely the way to go. I love it so much that I try to squeeze in as much extra free time possible.

I'm not often impressed with technology but this is about the coolest thing I've bought in a long time. There are some down sides. You can see the individual pixels on your phone screen (not a big deal). Also, it might just be my eyes but any text that isn't dead center in the lens isn't quite in focus and the further to the edges you get the more out of focus it gets. This isn't super noticeable on images or movies. Lastly, I find that I have to re-orientate the system more often then I think is necessary. It's not like you have to do it a lot but on the Netflix app I had to do it twice during a 1hr show. I noticed I had to do this more when I was in a stationary chair than when I sat in a office chair that spins and tilts. The office chair may smooth out some of my natural shakyness or something plus sitting in a chair that spins lets you look behind you easier too. Over all it thing is super cool for around a hundred bucks. I'm using this with the S6 Edge+

I have an S6 Edge+ through ATT, the phone needed a firmware update forced by ATT to be able to install the oculus software. I was with ATT support for several hours doing several updates that had to be forced, to get marshmallow and be compatible with this device. Marshmallow KILLED my battery, but now it works with the Vr headset. The exclusive NETFLIX app is out of this World! I really love the entire package.

I am having so much fun with this device, I brought it to work and share it with my co-workers they all loved how amazing it looks and kept commenting about how much fun they were having. I have download various programs and they are all fun, I love the 360 image, as basically it allows you to view and experience different parts of the world (among other types of images)

I purchased this product hoping I could find a way to link it to my drone for first person flying, but unfortunately I have not been successful in doing so. However, there are a lot of cool other features the Samsung Gear VR offers that make it well worth the cost. It is a great way to block out distractions and enjoy a movie, look at photos, or surf the web--and would be great for traveling. There are lots of game options and new applications coming out specifically for this gadget, but some of them require a hand-held controller be used, which sadly does not come with the headset. Other than that, it is a very cool product that has lots of potential and over time, more and more content will be available for it, so I would say, " Go for it!"

It's really fun but I wish you could buy the apps & movies ect. With means other than putting in a credit card. Also the phone tends to get hot quick. I also cannot find the picks in the Bestbuy demo that got me hooked in the first place but other than that it's pretty cool

This headset is a nice introduction to the VT world. The device is comfortable and it responds well to head movements. It works very well with still 360 images. But, I did find that it can overheat when viewing high resolution video. Overall it is a great buy for the price.

Anyone with a Samsung phone should have one of these! I love watching movies like I'm in my own personal theater or viewing slide shows of countries from around the world and experiencing places I never would otherwise! I remember the old VR machines in arcades in the 90s.. now 20 years later they are more advanced and affordable so anyone can own one at home!

This Samsung Gear VR works seemingly with my Samsung S7 Edge. The free VR content provided by Oculus shows off the capabilities of this device. It will drain your battery and get hot if used for long periodstory of time. Have fun stuff it is great start to the VR world!

VR is really something you have to experience for yourself. You really can get lost in some of the games/360 pictures etc. It was worth the purchase and the technology can only get better and better for here.
