Most new TV's these days have built-in "smart" access where you can access Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as other online on-demand videos. Unfortunately, my 5-year old LED TV did come with this, and I was tired of paying my cable company $10/month to rent a cable box. I researched the Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and this Apple TV. I ended up picking up the Apple TV primarily because I have an iPhone and iPad so being within the Apple universe was very easy for me. I didn't need the new 4K as my old TV supports 1080P as the maximum resolution. I really like the interface, set up was fast and simple, remote is pretty cool, I can use my iPhone/iPad as a remote as well (via Apple TV app), and the selection of TV/content apps continues to grow. Some could argue that Roku has more apps, but I prefer quality vs quantity. I cut the cord with my cable provider, replaced my rented cable box with the Apple TV, and I couldn't be happier. As a side note, for live TV and local channels, I use an indoor antenna.

I have owned a first generation Apple TV and enjoyed using it for primarily Netflix, but a host of other apps. This new version seems to run faster, has a prettier interface (the screen saver alone is pretty great!) and of course the new remote with Siri included. Now typing is easier with voice spelling available and game play available if you want some easy time killers.

So I should note before I purchased this I already owned a couple Apple TVs. I purchased three more to setup my parents with DirectTV Now. Overall for what it is, the Apple TV is a great little set top box for streaming and general media use. Neither my home or my parents is a full Apple ecosystem but we use enough for it to be a a step above "generic streaming box". The UI is straightforward and easy to use, and setup is dead simple if you have an iPhone, however the remote is fairly handy. Anyway, I'll keep this simple. PRO: User friendly UI, no complaints with UX. Quick setup. Plays nice with minimal Apple eco system (Airplay from phones is a great feature). Has major support/buy-in from industry and app developers (for the most part). Solid performance over wireless N setup (MOSTLY, see CONs) CONs: Not 4k. The device should have been refreshed to support 4k streaming where available, however this is minor as not many services provide enough content. Apple still doesn't allow Amazon Prime Video. Get over yourselves already. In certain setups I have seen where AppleTV does not play 100% nice with 5.0GHz Wireles N signal. On my home setup with a single SSID I can successfully steer it to a 5.0 Ghz signal and achieve the desired throughput with minimal fuss, however previously it would refuse to connect to it when it was two distinct SSIDs for the different band. Minor quibble, it works fine now. Overall I enjoy Apple TV. It meets the needs for my uses at home and my somewhat non-tech friendly parents use it without any issues. There are some minor things that could be better and thus deem it "Excellent" in my eyes but its still a solid device nonetheless.

I bought my Apple TV refurbished from Geek Squad and have had absolutely no issues. It looked brand new. The remove is awesome and it's really easy to download and add all your favorite apps (Netflix, HBOGo, etc). You can even use the Siri feature to search content. Really great all around entertainment system.

Never purchased refurbished products before, however took a chance on this. No issues, got the product in excellent condition and works great, like new...

Apple has really refined their interface and improved the Apple TV experience. The remote is fantastic with the touch surface and Siri. I wish they would allow an Amazon Prime app but AirPlay with the iPhone work perfectly.

Everything worked as intended. The condition was in great condition. So I would recommend buying Geek Squad Certified if you want to save money.

Refurbished AppleTV from BestBuy looks and works like it's brand new. Super easy setup. Remote is a huge improvement over 3rd Gen AppleTV.

Was a little skeptical about it being refurbished, but it appears to be in brand new condition and works perfectly. I wish the typical apps that came preinstalled in the first version came preinstalled on the 2nd version. It would have saved me lots of time. But other than that I love it. Especially the Siri Remote. So much easier to use!!!

Of all the Apple TV generations, this is the one to buy! This generation (unlike the previous generations) has free apps (as well as ones you can purchase) to download. Great processor, too. Easy to setup and works like a charm. Also has SIRI. Pretty cool! I bought Best Buy's refurbished Apple TV and have not had any problems.

Refurbished Apple TV is like new, works great! The remote is so much easier to use on this.

I haven't owned it too long but I already love it. I use it to watch Netflix, do my workouts and also to Airplay and it works flawlessly everytime. Only thing is that I wish I could download the Vudu App but other than that it is a Great Product!! Love It!!

Saved a few dollars by buying a refurbished unit. Aside from packaging it functions like brand new. Some Folks were griping about the new Apple TV but after having had a first gen unit- must say I do like the latest version!

I purchased the Apple TV refurbished from Best Buy. I love the device. It's very quick and responsive and AirPlay works fantastic. Remote takes some getting used to, but the remote app on phone works fantastic.

I own both a Roku Stick and the Apple TV, and they both have their strengths. The Apple TV has a nicer interface, but a much higher price tag and a larger footprint. I do really like how I can easily throw my Roku Stick and remote in a suitcase and take it with me when I'm traveling.

What can be said about the AppleTV? A fantastic product and this 4th revision is wonderful with the addition of SIRI and the AppStore for AppleTV apps. My biggest concern was buying an 'open box' product from BB. I was happy to find that the AppleTV arrived in an original AppleTV box with a Geek Squad inspection sticker on it. All items appeared brand new and everything worked perfectly. I also checked the Serial Number of the AppleTV via the Apple Warranty website and even found that it has Apple Warranty good thru August of 2017. So very happy with the purchase and the fact that I've got almost a years worth of warranty left on it and purchased with quite a savings! Excellent Buy!

What can I say - the only difference between refurb and regular was money in my pocket and no fancy packaging. Works great - love the remote on the Apple TV4 and my kids figured it out in no time.

The new Apple TV is a must have for Apple product owners. The simple to use all new interface and the ability to stream content from iOS devices to your TV is wonderful. Definitely recommend.
