Poor technical support service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Today I called to get information and help with my Netgear router #7300dst. I spoke to a female and asked for help with 2 issues that I have. The 1st problem was about about the Major Security flaw found in my netgear router. ( If you have a netgear router copy and paste to read more information about it. http://www.consumerreports.org/digital-security/security-flaw-discovered-in-netgear-routers/ When I explained to the tech support she stated she has no idea what I was talking about and said I had to contact Netgear themselves to resolve that matter. My second question is when I go to my genie app why is my signal in wifi analytics show only a good signal and not show its at its best signal? The lady respoded that my 90 day support was over. However they can send someone over to check my connections because they couldnt answer my question over the phone and just wanted to shut me up by telling me I had 90 days to contact them and that the 90 days was up. I have on my receipt that I have a 1 year network support that values at 79.99 but was at no cost because it was part of the sale. I also have a 2 year product replacement. Anyways she was not much help so I decided to contact netgear. Netgear told me that they cannot help me because geek squad was contracted through best buy and they would have to resolve the technical matter. However they did email me on how to update my software which resolves my 1st issue. So I contacted geek squad again spoke to someone different and explained to them that im a customer thats getting ping ponged around and was hoping they could help me this time. After explaining to them what netgear explained to me I was put on hold, and then they hung up on me and never returned my call. I must say at this point I was angry and frustrated. So im stuck with in the middle with no help from either netgear or geek squad to resolve my signal issue. I am hoping someone who is in charge of geek squad would help me after dealing with 2 unprofessional tech operators. So please if you decide to buy this product be aware that you too might get caught with no help so choose wisely!!! I hope a supervisor or a higher up reads this and investigates the conversations that I had with both of these useless tech supporters. I really hope they can go into the recordings and see how unprofessional they were and resolve it so no one has to go through the aggravation.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek Squad was not available to assist with set up, they did offer to call back and did a few hours later, but we could not stay home waiting, so we figured it out ourselves. No problems so far so we have not needed to call Geek Squad again.

Great to have on hand

The Geek Squad gets it done
