I Installed this in my back yard to replace an existing motion detector spotlight and it was a very straightforward three wire swap. However, the three mounting screws for this are verrrry tiny. Fortunately several extras are supplied. I'm still looking around in the mulch for the ones I dropped. There is also a convenient "S" hook provided to support the weight of the light while making the electrical connections. This was not mentioned in the description or the instruction booklet. If only I would have figured out its purpose while I was installing. A small allen wrench is used to adjust the positioning of the light. Fortunately I did not drop it. The instruction booklet is very small with tiny non-contrasting print and a challenge for my mature eyes. It took four or five tries to get this to sync to the Geeni app on my iPhone but eventually got it. The flashing red and blue lights during the setup were very hard to see in the direct sunlight. It would be nice to be able to program this before mounting it instead of doing it while standing on a ladder. Now, for the life of me, I cannot get my Amazon Echo to find this, even though it recognizes my Geeni smart plugs just fine. Do I tell Alexa it is a camera, or a light? In the Geeni app I scheduled the light to come on just after dark at 5:30pm but some how messed up the programming for it to turn off a few hours later. The spotlight I replaced would come on automatically at dusk at a reduced light intensity for a few hours and then brighten with motion detection. It would be nice if the Sentry did this automatically. The Sentry light is bright and both the daytime and night vision images are very good.

I have purchased many Genie products and this is as good if not better than the rest. It has excellent quality and I have zero issues connecting to it. The genie app is very easy to use and easy to set up. I have Arlo cameras as well and the genie seems to connect better than the Arlo.
