I can program the switch using the app to turn on/off the lights at specific times, a timer, or a countdown. Of course, it can also be turned on/off manually. The only aspect that wasn't obvious is that wifi had to be reset after installing the switch. The reset button is nicely hidden underneath the main switch.

Geeni Wifi Light Switch

The app was also easy to download and allows complete control of the light switch. You can set up a custom on off schedule to control for instance, an exterior light that the switch operates.

We have a few of these around the house and they are all working great. We've never had an issue with them, unlike other brands, plus they have the best indicator lights that we've used. It has a blue LED backlight to let you know it is connected, which lets you find it in the dark. It also has a green LED backlight to let you know the switch is on, helpful for outdoor lights, ceiling fans, and lights in large rooms.

I bought this switch to accompany my Geeni Smart light bulb that I use in another room. This unit went in my kitchen to operate flourescent ceiling lights. The only problem I had was squeezing it into the electrical box. Once I managed that, set up was easy. The phone app works great. And I synced it with Alexa for even more convenience.

The Wemo app has a better UI but as I use Alexa, that’s not a big deal anymore. Pro-tip. Despite both wires being black, it does matter which is live and which isn’t.

I reached out to their tech support and finally got a reply, but so far unsuccessful. Very disappointed as I have several plugs from Geeni that work wonderful. I was hoping I could enjoy this but so far I'm just frustrated. The other 2 I bought might be going back if I can't get this working. If I can, then I will be happy, but so far, not so much.
