I really enjoyed this series. The first episode was a little slow and there is not a ton of action, but I think that is because it is one of the most realistic portrayals of the invasion of Iraq. I thought the acting was great and I found it very entertaining. Throughout the series I laughed, I cried, and I felt the frustration of the Marines as they had to deal with poor leadership while invading a country. I would definitely reccomend this.

Next to Band of Brothers, Generation Kill is the second best war mini series. Be sure to listen closely for the witty banter between the main characters. Very entertaining.

I had done two tours in Iraq myself with the Marines so I am always scrutinizing very closley these types of shows. The staff of this took a lot of time in gathering facts and interviews with those who are portrayed in the movie. I think that if people wish to see an accurate "piece" of life with a deployed Marine combat unit, this is it. Semper Fi

i just recently got back from iraq and while over there we watched this show and our whole squad enjoyed it and we agreed that it accuratly dipicts the corps the most out of anything we have seen about the marine corps plus it is based on a true story

i bought this gift for my boyfriend who is a Marine, it was an anniversery gift. He watched the series when it first cam out on HBO and he wanted the Dvd set for some time. This gift is very much affordable and well worth the money you spend on it. any Marine would appreciate this gift...

Must watch for anyone who read the book, anyone who has seen the Wire, and anyone who likes a good war movie/epic/miniseries. Guys who play Ray and Brad (one is from season 2 of the wire, the other is stellan saarsgaard's son) are unbelievable and in top form. Overall a solid A.

great show would recommend it to anyone. if you liked full metal jacket then you will love this series.

The show is a good depiction of the book. Great overall feel of the Marine Corps in Iraq.

Can't say one bad thing about this series except for I wish it didn't end.
