A Howard Hawks film done in the usual 50's musical way. However, not "usual" is the actresses Jane Russel and Marilyn Monroe together. Two sex symbols together in a musical adventure. The classic "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" sung buy the sexy Marilyn, alone is worth having!

Lorelei (Marilyn Monroe) and Dorothy (Jane Russell) are lounge singers on a transatlantic cruise, working their way to Paris, and enjoying the company of any eligible men they might meet along the way, even though "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend." This 1953 musical comedy, based on the 1949 Broadway musical of the same name, crowned Monroe in her position as the nation's new 'Love Goddess'. Great fun to watch. Don't miss it.

A magnificent classic That looks even better on Blu-ray ....the transfer is pristine and the color is absolutely spot on ...I have never seen this movie look better than it does on Blu-ray and I can recommend is completely even to those who have the DVD version ...it is very much worth an upgrade

This classic film has stood the test of time. Marilyn Monroe is at her best as a study in contrasts: smart yet dumb, sophisticated yet naïve, and materialistic yet genuine. The movie is simply beautiful on this Blu-ray. Highly recommended.

What can one say about this classic movie that hasn't already been said? The Blue Ray looks and sounds fantastic and it has Marilyn's classic (there's that word again) "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" number. A bargain bin treasure!

For a film just over 65 years old it certainly impresses on Blu-ray. The technicolor image is beautiful and lush, though sometimes a bit soft. This is probably the best the movie has ever looked or sounded. I highly recommend this comedy.

A funny story with two beautiful and talented actresses and two equally talented actors, made me laugh throughout the movie showing us that at one time Hollywood did have values and ideas.

The movie was fun to watch, especially if you grew up in this era. Two of the sexiest women that have ever existed together in a great movie. You will like this one!

Marilyn Monroe was born to play this part. Though originally brown-haired, her performance as sensuous blonde has never been matched by later performers.

You don't have to love blondes or brunettes to enjoy this movie, I am not a fan of musicals but for some reason I found myself in awe of Not just Monroe but the classier more distinguished and Moral Russell. Their beauty and charm in a time when not everyone could be an celebrity makes for refreshing viewing.

This movie still holds up and I use to wonder why everyone liked her so much and she has a way to captivate you and enjoy watching her.

I bought this dvd to go along with the new Blue Ray DVD Player from Best Buy that I bought for my Grandparents this Christmas. We all loved it!
