Battery Life is terrible

I charged her laptop the night before, and took it off the charger in the morning for her class, and around 12:30 she said she needed the adapter to plug it back in bc she was on 15%. I will be returning the item, since she hasn’t had it for long (Christmas return) The display is also kind of blue in color. Irritating on the eyes.
