Geo or Chromebook
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were deciding between a Chromebook or this GeoBook for school (2nd grade) and some gaming after homework. We ended up choosing this based on the year of Office 365 included and the free Minecraft was a nice bonus. I am impressed with the speed of the laptop, especially for the price. My nephew is probably most excited about the stickers! Good battery life so far, and I'm glad we don't need constant internet connection like a Chromebook.

no light behind keyboard
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it’s really good! i really like it’s color, and would definitely recommend. it’s good for light gaming and there isn’t any lagging when using google or anything like that. I rated it a 4 star because there’s no light behind the keyboard, so without good lighting it’s hard to see the keys. overall i really like it, but 1 minor problem.

Great First Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a laptop for my daughter and am very please with this cute laptop thats very kid friendly. I wanted a laptop that would let her play games and use for school. The parental security aids in keeping her safe as she uses the internet.

Nice stepping stone
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a neat little device perfect for young kids. Though I will say it’s pretty slow when it comes to playing Minecraft, but I definitely wasn’t expecting amazing power for the cost I paid. It’s a great stepping stone before fully comitting to a more powerful computer.

Decent little computer
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this little laptop for tuning vehicles and small jobs. It doesn't have very much storage, it also isn't the fastest thing in the world. But with it's size and easy to transport around id recommend.

Great for Bills/Surfing Online
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop as a gift for my mother. She's not super tech savvy, but does know a bit about computers - she only needed something suitable for web surfing, paying bills online, and word processing. This computer is great for all of that! Plus, she loves the color and feel of it. Not super fast, but again, that's not what this was for. It's absolutely perfect for her needs - it would be great for homework, too.

Careful with the light colors!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Light Cute color Easy to use Battery life is acceptable Loved that it came with a year of Microsoft A suitable alternative to a chrome book Charges quickly Camera/video works great and clear Overall a good product for the cost. Cons: The rubberized skin. While it comes in handy because it serves as a grip. However, color easily transfers on to the computer and getting it off has been impossible. I’ve reached out to customer service twice and nothing they’ve suggested has worked. If you’re going to sell a specific type of item I think it’s a good idea let consumers know what to use to clean this item. This was the only disappointing factor for me. Images: The red marks came from being in my bag one day. The fingerprints were from the first time I used my computer.

Posted .Hi there, to clean your GeoBook 120 we recommend a microfibre cloth and a computer safe cleaning product. Be careful not to spray any chemicals directly onto the laptop. You can find out more from our Help Centre at www.geo-computers.com. I hope this helps!

Hope 3rd time is the charm
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just wanted a budget laptop for web browsing, Discord. etc. A larger screen, full keyboard, and Windows apps are things that I wanted which my phone doesn't have. This laptop seemed to fit my needs, and I was crazy about the color. I have encountered two manufacturer defects in two different laptops. I went through manufacturer support for the first one--laptop did not wake from sleep mode--and was advised to do a warranty exchange. I did that and waited for a new model to ship. The second one had a dead pixel. Exchanged per manufacturer's warranty again. The manufacturer's support team was polite and quick, for what it's worth. I could have held onto the laptop a little bit longer and tested the overall performance, but I wanted to do the exchanges sooner rather than later to get a model without defects. That said, from the time I did spend with the laptop, the handling and performance felt appropriate for the price range. The plastic feels cheap and the assembly is very slightly rough, particularly around the track pad. The keys don't have a universal sensitivity; for example, the left shift on the first laptop was a little stiff and didn't register unless I pressed it right in the center. The physical click of the track pad behaves the same way. Felt a little bit like a very high-quality children's toy (which I feel like these are sort of marketed as, so it's all good). None of these were deal-breakers, because this was what I expected to get for a laptop at this price. The budget processor and RAM make the laptop's performance significantly slower than my gaming desktop, even when browsing the web and using Discord. No surprises there. You get what you pay for. Again, not a deal-breaker. "Slower than my gaming desktop" is still more than fine. It's 2021, and what's "slow" today was fast a few years ago. I probably won't try having dozens of tabs open in Firefox, though. Windows is Windows. By default, this laptop is in S-mode. If you try to install a program that's not from the Windows store, you'll get a notification and instructions to turn off S-mode. The color of the laptop doesn't quite match the picture, but I was very happy with it still. The actual shade of lavender is paler and less vibrant. I don't feel like I can give a genuine review, having really used this laptop for less than an hour. However, two manufacturer defects in a row is kind of a very informative review on its own. When I bought this, I made my consideration based on reviews of the Minecraft model, which has the same specs to my understanding, just comes in a different color. So if you haven't already seen those reviews, I would recommend checking those out. I am giving this laptop another chance because I genuinely love the color/aesthetic and I'm willing to be patient and jump through hoops for it. At the time of this review, I haven't gotten the third one yet. If this weren't priced so low, I would give it two stars. At the current price point, I'll give it three.

Definitely get the geek squad protection plan
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can’t go wrong with bestbuy geek squad when it comes to honoring a manufacturers warranty, when the manufacturer is evasive and misleading. My son adores this laptop, and it is really cute for an itty bitty laptop. It does takes time to set up and update windows, but getting out of S mode isn’t complicated and doesn’t impede the ability to play games that aren’t in Microsoft store as implied. It comes with a year of Minecraft, and that alone is a great value. The stickers are extremely cute, and it’s light weight and fast for it’s specs.

great starter laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this for our daughter as a starter laptop for Christmas. So far it's been pretty good, a nice little screen simple to set up. It's not a powerhouse, but on a sub $200 device there isn't much to complain about. For those wondering, the site says up to 64GB expandable drive, I was able to use a 128GB I had laying around and it read it with no issues. Recommend for someone needing an inexpensive starter laptop, that doesn't need a bunch of horsepowers (plays Minecraft with no issues) this will be a nice little starter laptop. Wouldn't recommend it for anyone trying to run newer more demanding games.
