    I was looking for a Windows 7 program to replace the windows 8 that came on a computer I purchased. Thank goodness I have a friend with more computer knowledge than me. I would recommend only having some who knows what they are doing when installing.

    Windows 7 is the way to go if you upgrade. Have a windows 8 computer and I don't like the hoops you have to jump thru to use it.

    I went through the whole upgrade process to Windows 7. Thought I had succeeded. But it changed my IDE drives to SATA drives which made my IDE DVD and CD drive not work. I had a tuner that was the original with my SONY VAIO, it wouldn't work any more either. I ended up reinstalling my Windows XP SP3 and all my old programs. I guess I didn't have the expertise to get it done right.

    I use Windows 7 on an extra, older laptop (that is not capable of utilizing later versions) at work with a hot spot to listen to my music online, look at some websites and check my personal email - Windows 7 is just right for what i need.

    had to have someone else install it.Seems like more junk is showing up then it had with xp. Just enough different that we keep making mistakes,nothing fatal,but annoying. No other choice at this time

    PURCHASED AN OLD LAPTOP FOR MY DAUGHTER WITHOUT AN OPERATING SYSTEM AT ALL- I WAS RECOMMENDED TO PURCHASE THIS. BEST BUY SHIPPED IT OUT IN TIMELY FASHION, INSTALLED BY A FRIEND NEXT DAY, COMPUTER UP AND RUNNING!!!!

    I didn't know my older computer only had about 528 MB of ram which this OS couldn't run on. So I spent money on something I couldn't use.
