Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the laptop's performance and impressive graphics capabilities, particularly praising the RTX 3060 GPU and the smooth 240Hz screen. Many appreciate its relatively light weight for a gaming laptop. However, a common concern is the battery life, which several users found to be shorter than expected.

Little stealth powerhouse but webcam is useless, I kinda wish the screen was bigger but that would mean it would be heavier.

The motherboard died out of nowhere after 1.5 years of owning it and I never dropped it or spilled anything on it. It doesn't display anything but powers on. It just randomly died. This is not normal.

The camera is located at the bottom where the keyboard is so you will always be at an awkward angle in online meetings - plus every time you type you can see it when the camera is on The keyboard spacing was something I had to get used to, but I didn’t really like it Some of the modes like the automatic changing was a lot since a large pop up came up every time you switch tabs Not a fan, will return and exchange for a different laptop

Great looking and spec’d out laptop especially for the Black Friday price. Unfortunately my unit had a bad/defective screen and had to return it. Aorus seems to be at the bottom end in terms of reliability for using cheaper parts.

Just want to lead this by saying I have somewhat of an esoteric view on computers. I got this for $1,199 on sale the week before black-Friday. What this is here is a highly capable computer, after-all the specs speak for themselves. Let's get a little into it here: Pro's: - Build quality, this chassis is very tanky with practically no flex. This is higher quality than it should be for a good reason. The designers at AORUS are using this cassis for high-end configurations, this is actually their mid-range build. A i7 and 3060 sits on the lower end of how this laptop can be configured. As a result, you're getting a quality case with entry level gaming specs. - Excellent tactile keyboard, and a lovely glass touchpad. - Upgradeable PCIe Gen 4.0 Storage (has 2 NVME M.2 slots) - Good god, the cooling from this sucker. I couldn't believe the volume of air that comes out of this thing. Very efficient fans, and they do an excellent job tuning the fans automatically. (tends to run hot while doing basic web-app stuff, but that's partly to be expected of something such as this). - Horsepower - We have here a i7 11800h and 3060 powered by a 230W power brick. Now that is pretty good! - Incredibly useful I/O - The speakers have no business being this good and loud. They even have a bit of range low-end range, tested in Apex Legends. Be sure to use the sound drivers DTS:X - The last pro is the screen and I did this because there is so much to say about a near bezzel-less display on a laptop. For one, it is 240Hz, I'll try to include pictures. sRGB color profile, with way more brightness than I'm used to having on a laptop (not quite macbook OLED bright - for now, lol). Cons: (These are nit-picky) - PLEASE READ THIS. Format this thing when you get it. It doesn't take much, just a USB flash drive big enough to put Windows Creation Tool on it. For most people, this laptop comes set-up and trouble free out of the box. However, you are getting cheated on a fair bit of storage space by not doing this (~25GB). All of the drivers controlling the rgb and fan stuff is available on their manufacturer website. The main controller for AORUS is called Control Center. - The screen, it's actually really well stabilized but you cannot tilt the screen very far back. - The layout of the I/O. So it actually has very practical ports on this thing, but why did they go and stick the power plug on the middle of the right-side? I have to move my hand over a whole inch. _ The webcam is garbage but that's not why this is a con. They stuck it above the power button, underneath the monitor. You may want to consider packing your logitech webcam. Other thoughts: The battery is a 98Wh and more than sufficient for powering a laptop for at least an hour. Do not expect to get more than 2 hours on a full charge without turning off the rgb keyboard and 240hz settings. This is a powerful laptop, not a efficient one (and frankly if horsepower was not your priority, look at something with an M1 chip instead but be prepared to spend a lot more).

Build quality is unbelievable, and the GPU takes up to 115 Watts (the max for the mobile variant)!!! Even at MSRP this thing is a steal, let alone the Black Friday price!!
