Price to performance ratio is unbeatable on this laptop. Plays most games on medium to high settings. Was purchased to use in college with light gaming on the side - and for this purpose it is excellent. I did upgrade the ram to 16gb.

No issues so far. Purchased during Black Friday deal for $550 and it seems to be a decent value. RAM and hard drive space were easy to upgrade. The only complaint I've got so far is that the case shows every single fingerprint.

Got this at the Black Friday price, which made it an amazing deal. My son got it for light gaming and it handles everything well. Has enough performance to handle better games when he starts getting into more graphics intensive games.

was my first gaming laptop Ive had it for a few moths now and have yet two see it run into any major problems with game. I almost exclusively play strategy games (Stellaris) and offline simulation games (sims) for reference.

Pretty good for the price. Paid most games if thrown at it.

My fiest gaming laptop but it let me down. Playing on the lowest setting ona game that doesn't require much ( rocket league ) and it was stuttering way to much. Then graphics card message would pop up saying not compatible. Im not much of a geek with this so I just returned it.

This computer does pretty well with playing games.

Good for a desktop replacement and gaming but for daily task small battery isn’t it. Also pretty heavy

I have just got this laptop. It's a good gaming laptop spec wise. Graphics, sound, key functions all good so far. I'll review more in future after using this laptop for several months.

Excellent laptop. Very fast, fantastic color graphics, best laptop I have ever owned and I have had a few. Even though I do not use it for gaming, I use it for editing and music

Seems to be a good laptop. Not very helpful as far as instructions go. Has a multicolor keyboard but no instructions on how to change the colors. Still looking for instructions on their website.

I this this is a great gaming laptop. It gets the job done. I can play games with great FPS this laptop works very nicely with games suck as fortnite, call of duty, Apex, ect

great value at sale price of $550, added 16gb ram in second slot and 500gb sata ssd in blank slot, still have one nvme slot open, and off to the races, screen is nice too.

Decent entry level laptop. Although the lack of pci express USB does limit the upgradability. Rtx 3050 ti is a bit limiting in terms of vram but it will get the job done.

I got my new Gigabyte G5 15.6” FHD Gaming Laptop a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier with it. This is my first Gigabyte computer and I am impressed. To start with the build quality of the unit is solid. Nothing bends or rattles. The hinge for the screen is solid. The metal case is firm but not too heavy. Physically this laptop is well engineered and fabricated. I absolutely love that the power supply plugs into the back. A total of 4 USB ports is great, including a USB-C. The back lit keyboard is lovely. It has my beloved numeric keypad and a super quick response. Physically everything is tip top, so how about the performance? Let’s start with the screen, It’s beautiful! Full HD 1080P with a smooth 144hz refresh rate. Looks good from extreme angles and gets bright enough to decently view outside during the day. Boot up/wake up is very quick. It has some easy to use software to change the color of the keyboard light, set macros and hotkeys. It includes windows 11. The Wi-Fi is the best I have had on a laptop. The battery is easily removable. So if you needed it, you could get a spare to swap out quick and easy when needed. It comes with an adequate 8GB of RAM but that is easily upgradable to 64GB if needed. If I have 1 complaint I guess it’s the speakers. They are ok, but do not sound great, but I have external speakers or headphones when that is important. Where this laptop really shines is performance. I installed and loaded up several different games. This is the best gaming laptop I have ever owned. It’s not like a true desktop gaming rig powerful, but it’s pretty impressive. Whether playing sports or hunting goblins I was really impressed. No noticeable frame rate drops or any other issues. There is one game (Planet Coaster) that practically no machine can handle at its limits. A huge park with thousands of guests lags on any PC. I loaded a good sized park where my gaming rig got 40fps, this one got just over 20. This to me is impressive. After playing with it a few days I have inevitably had multiple browsers with dozens of tabs open and it handles my crazy just fine. I’m still new to Blender and 3D modeling but it ran that program and did some mid level renders quickly. Oh and I did my specialty of using excel, listening to you tube all with a ton of tabs open in the background and nothing crashed or slowed down. All in all this is an impressive machine at its price point. I have had a lot of experience with 3 different laptops all at the same MSRP over the last year and this one is by far my favorite. This is a gaming machine, but it also seems good to handle most any task you throw at it. Other than the speakers, I would rate everything else about this machine 5 stars including value. This is an excellent option for someone looking for a mid priced gaming laptop. Well done Gigabyte, you have delighted this customer and I would absolutely recommend this laptop to a friend.

Runs well and can handle games like Overwatch on high setting at 70+ fps. Only thing I didn’t like was the size of the keyboard but that’s just preference.

It was worth the money, you can get better built quiality computers for a more expensive price but if you are just a casual gamer the laptop is great.

Excellent laptop with multi m2 slots. An easy ram upgrade to 32gbs and this laptop is flying. Bought on black friday sale and love it!
