Very good low-end gaming laptop, needs more RAM
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good specs for the price ($600 at time of purchase). Only issue is 8GB of RAM out of the box. I would recommend adding additional RAM especially if you're going to be gaming. Surprisingly very little cr*pware out of the box aside from what comes with Windows 11.

Overheat too much
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent laptop that can run high end games but crashes duento over heating and thats a big problem. The fans are average but it doesn't get the job done. Laptop is a good laptop just for games it can handle. Avoid if you play high end games.

||Posted . It’s a good laptop to playing games!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the different modes of operation it has. When I use the gamer mode the games run much smoother. I recommend using it connected to the power outlet when using gaming mode.

Strong Laptop for the Price Point
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Use this as my workstation for work. Sweet to actually have an ethernet port. The GPU is nice for the programming I do. Haven't tried any games, but I'm sure it would run them fine.

Does the job
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It operates pretty well and has run all the games smoothly that I put through it the only drawbacks that I found are the exhaust ports are on the side of the unit and the hot air blows out onto your hands if you're using your mouse right there the air flow should come in the side and go out the back in my opinion, another issue is that the surface is not very resilient and it's hard to clean and leave smudges and fingerprints on it that you can't get off, overall for the price it's a good gaming laptop.

Laptop Review
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The laptop runs fine but sometimes gets a bit hot. A major design flaw is the microphone is on the bottom.

Everything I need at an affordable price!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Gigabyte G5 MD has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS screen, an 11th generation Intel I5 processor, 4 Gb NVidia GE Force RTX GPU, 8 Gb of memory (expandable to 64 GB) and a 512 Gb SSD (I believe I read that it can be expanded to 6 Tb). Lots of power in an affordable gaming laptop. There is plenty of connectivity too, HDMI, a mini-display port, 4 assorted USB ports including 1 type c, a microphone jack, a combo audio jack, an RJ45, an SD reader and of course a power in port. I have always liked to purchase gaming computers for a number of reasons in spite of not being a gamer. The gaming laptops tend to have faster processors, more storage available, better graphics cards and displays... This is the first gaming computer I have had with an I5 processor. The difference in performance between chip families used to be significant but I really can't tell any difference in the performance of my I7 laptop and this I5. Most of my work is large databases and photo/video editing. This has not faltered with anything I have thrown at it. I even ran some game demos to check out the 144HZ refresh rate and this Gigabyte handled all of them flawlessly. I only noticed one negative thing. I often sit in a chair in my den with a laptop actually in my lap. At times, particularly when running the high refresh rate game demos, the WindForce cooling system kicks in high and feels very warm. I love the look of the thin bezel display. I had forgotten how nice it is to have physical buttons under the touchpad. My last couple of laptops have come with touch screens and pen compatibility. This computer does not have those features. I found that I never used those features other than to pinch zoom every now and then. I guess not having a touch screen or a DVD drive helps them keep this affordable. I used to think nothing of spending $4-5000 on a work laptop when my employer reimbursed me. This computer does everything I need flawlessly for much less money. I really thought stepping down on the specs would be very noticeable in performance, but I have yet to notice any difference.
