I was looking for a new laptop and this one checked off all the boxes and at a great price point. So happy with it! Great speed, love the light up keyboard, and not too heavy for on the go.

Got this laptop on sale and its been awesome, PLENTY of room for expanding storage and and a second RAM slot if you want to add another 8gb ram or replace the original and go up to 64gb RAM. The plastic is a fingerprint magnet though and sometimes the mouse pad doesnt register your taps but its not too bad. Also the fans can get quite loud when a game is running. But again if its on sale its an awesome deal and intro to gaming laptops

Best deal on a gaming laptop. You couldn't touch a RTX laptop for $550 till now. Just add some extra ram and it's good to go. Made my daughter very happy for her birthday.

Great laptop. 3 storage slots possible. I added my 1tb nvme and 1tb sata drives with no problems. The laptop does get loud while gaming depending on the type of game played.

Great beginner video editor

Great starter laptop for video editing! By starter I mean you'll want to upgrade some things.
I bought a 32gb stick of ram, bringing the total to 40GB of ram (laptop is capable of up to 64Gb).
I also put in a second 500gb nvme drive and a 500gb SSD Sata drive. Total storage space is now 1.5TB.
I use the C: drive for OS and Apps. D: drive (nvme) for all my current editing project files. E: drive (Sata SSD) for backup of OS for if my main drive dies and misc files.
I then have 2 external drives (multiple TB) to hold all my finished videos and their raw footage (In case i want to reuse for b-roll).
The laptop boots up quickly and does daily tasks with ease. I haven't had a chance to do any major editing yet. Will update after some real editing.
Battery life is miniscule (small battery), but if you game or video edit with it (like it's built for) you'll have it plugged in anyways. ~2-3hrs. You could adjust settings and see longer life if you don't have a plug near by.
The control panel for tuning is straight forward and easy to use.
The built in Dolby plugin for headsets is a nice thing to have (better than window's version).
The laptop does have a noisy set of fans, but they do their job! And if I'm editing, I have headphones on anyways, so the noise isn't bothersome.
The dedicated graphics card is what landed me to this laptop over others I was considering. 4GB is good for the price point! (Got it on sale for under $600)

by far the BEST value i have ever had in a laptop and the most reliable and speediest machine ever the only thing i would change is the ssd size it is quite small not at all the advertised size i think its about 458 gigabytes due to the reserved space overall this has been a amazing machine and for the black friday price i got it for of 500 bucks as opposed to the full retail face value of 1,200 it is a AMAZING performer that has handled anything i throw at it game wise like a champ

Excellent for what I wanted. Should be noted I do not play for hours in a day and mostly simpler games, nothing incredibly graphically intense. However, Fallout, Warcraft, etc all run very well on this machine. Only complaint is battery life and power cord. Jack at back of computer/input cord very loose and constantly falls out of the input hole.

Really good value laptop when discounted. Make sure to change to power saving mode when not gaming or you won't get more than an hour of charge. Laptop draws fingerprints like a magnet and can scratch fairly easily. The right shift key is tiny which is annoying. Fans can get really loud even when playing older games on low settings. The CPU speed is good, but not great.

Plays games like halo infinite in mid highs graphically at about 72fps. Turns on faster than a chrome book is a well built machine. Fan can be loud when gaming but id rater my PC not melt, and headphones are a must when playing anyway.

Experienced initial stuttering and slowdown in some games - researched and found that upgrading the bios (currently version 10) helps and indeed that solved the issue. Added additional 8GB memory and everything has been just smooth and fast! We are getting over 200fps on high settings in Valorant. Another plus is it comes pre-installed with Windows 11 and with minimal bloatware. Only downside is battery life is between 2-3 hours, and seems to perform better plugged in. Got it on Black Friday sale and overall, we are extremely satisfied with the Gigabyte G5 Gaming Laptop!
