Its a good laptop, 8gb is not enough for gaming, added 32gb of ram and its fast and better for gaming. I get around 80-90 fps on warzone on high settings, forza horzion 5 i get 72fps on high settings. (Added 2 sticks of 16gb of ram, and a 500gb ssd m.2) For 550 its worth it.

Got this laptop for a great deal and I've never had any problems with it at all! Really fast, Responsive and plays games with no problem! And thing is that they could've made it at least 16gb of ram

This is my first gaming laptop and I brought it to play sims and it runs nice and smoothly. The only thing I dislike is the battery life. I always have to keep it plugged up because the battery runs in like 30 mins to an 1hr. That’s annoying but otherwise, I like it.

It's a low cost Gaming Laptop with decent specs

It's a cheap gaming laptop, it does what you expect it to do, the screen is okay, the build quality is kinda cheap and plasticy. The expandability is excellent compared to everything else in the price range. Slapped another Samsung 1Rx8 8GB RAM stick in it, moved my 2.5 1TB SATA SSD form my old machine, and bought a 2TB NVME on sale, so I now have plenty of storage, that's the primary reason I bought it over the cheap Victus in the pre-black friday sales. On the bad side it's cooling leaves more to be desired as do most high spec laptops these days, the speakers are pretty tinny and not very loud, and the touchpad is kind of annoying as Gigabyte/Clevo provide no Elan driver and rely on generic windows drivers with no real advanced touchpad options. Overall if you need a luggable machine that you mostly keep plugged in and only occasionally need to take with you somewhere else, it's an excellent machine for $600, if you want big battery capacity and a laptop that can survive being carried around all the time, I'd look elsewhere.

This gaming laptop fits all my needs. I’m not an extreme gamer.. I play the sims 4 and StarCraft. They both run smooth like butter. I haven’t had to upgrade a thing. So happy with this purchase!

Great gaming laptop. Price couldn't have been better for what you get in this machine. Adding more memory and another hard drive isn't the easiest but not the hardest either. I would recommend this machine to anyone.

I had high hopes for this. I had a used Acer Predator i7 7700hq with a 1060 6gb in it. I was able to play most games on low settings. I had my sights on this. I figured this was my chance to see what life is like with a new gaming laptop. 1) Ram too little at 8gb, upgrade to 16 bare minimum 2) runs hot but the fans cool it well, only problem with that is the noise, way too loud. In order to make it function without those issues, I had to significantly under-volt. 3) it is only a bit better than my predator and being 2 full generations newer on the GPU and 4 generations newer on the CPU, I expected a night and day difference. I spent less on this brand new than I did on the predator used, and the predator was over 2 years old. I guess you get what you pay for but the specs looked great. 4) the monitor is nice at 144mhz but the build is flimsy and care needs to be taken when opening. 5) I was impressed in the fact that it had almost no bloatware that I had to remove. 6) There was a pre installed software that controls the fans, the keyboard RGB, the SSD, and the GPU clock speeds. The software was not functional when I got it so I had to redownload it from Gigabyte. Now that it is functional, it is a nice bit of software. 7) Getting updates from Gigabyte is not very user friendly. Overall, for the price new, this is a good laptop and worth it on sale but you may be better off with a different brand known for better builds even if it is used.

Memory could use a boost, but there is so much that can be added to this machine. Good as-is for basic gaming, but I'm going to add some more power to see what it can really do. Good value buy.

It is a great laptop for the price. Just doesn't have the greatest battery life, and doesn't really perform well without being plugged in but it runs great when it is plugged!

Gigabyte Laptop Review

This is the first gaming laptop I have purchased and I am surprised at how well it performs. I can run Warzone 2.0 no problem with low latency and over 60fps easily, the hd display is beautiful with clear pictures at 4k resolution. The only complaint I have is the battery life, man can this thing suck up power..that it gets 4 stars. For one of the less expensive gaming laptops on the market, do not hesitate to buy this one by Gigabyte.
