I’ve had this laptop for 1 1/2 years now, and everything works great. I’m able to get a consistent 60fps at 144hz for most modern games, usually you’ll have to change some settings to low graphics or run it on performance mode but it works great.

I'm not actually a gamer, but a writer. I was searching for a laptop with a backlit keyboard and this one stood out. The OS is snappy and the laptop performs incredibly well for my purposes. I've been using this computer everyday for months and i have zero complaints.

Works great for an amazing price. I got this on sale, but it was definitely worth it. It runs incredibly smooth and has great upgrade options for storage and RAM. The external battery was a great feature to see return from older laptops, as well.

I'm writing this review in case Best Buy gets more of these in stock and purchasers have a problem with setting up the pc. It has an issue with Windows 11. We looked at so many videos and advice how to fix the problem of it not resetting. Basically before anything is added to the pc, you have to download a fresh install of Windows 11 from the Microsoft website. None of the YouTube videos will tell you that. That said, once it's updated and Windows 11 is installed, it's a great computer! We don't use the pc without being plugged in, so have no idea of battery life. All other aspects and features were great! Plenty of USB ports, which is important to me. Plus you might want to add RAM and memory, just to make it better, but it's not needed unless you're running some major games.

After using it for over a year. I can tell it works really good. The only problem is it gets hot fast, and the fans are loud. But works perfectly and gets the job done.

If you are looking for a great gaming laptop at an affordable price this should be on your short list. The laptop itself is built very solid. Feels a bit on the heavy side, but that is to be expected with everything that is packed into it. I really like this screen size as well. Its the perfect spot for me, and when not on the go I connect it to my Sony TV as a monitor for 55” gaming goodness. I really like the look as well. Solidly built, with strong materials. It also has all the usual connectivity. Plenty of USB ports along with the HDMI. The unboxing and initial set up are a breeze with how easy it is to get going in Windows 11. Add your account, connect, follow the instructions, update, and youre ready to go. Gone are the days of complicated installs and getting things transferred. Before the gaming aspect as just a normal laptop it is great. Ive finally gotten better at getting around in Windows 11 and this does all the “normal” stuff great. Browsing, videos, documents, etc. Great performance, especially with the 512gb SSD. Boots up in a flash. Once you have an SSD in your PC youll never want to go back to the standard hard drive. It has a FHD screen, in other words 1920 X 1080 and that is perfect for me. Im still someone that doesnt really notice the difference between FHD and UHD until its on a very large screen. And this screen is no exception. Combined with the 144hz refresh rate the performance is great. I noticed no tearing or other issues. Just smooth sweet gaming and PC goodness. Sound is pretty good as well. There is only so much you can get out of smaller speakers, but they do their job well. I will probably connect to an external source, but for now I had no issues with the overall sound quality. As far as the keyboard goes I use to never think I would care about a backlit keyboard. But with this I am starting to think its on my required list. The backlight really helps, especially as you get use to the layout. And speaking of the layout its great. I love that it includes all of the keys, etc. of my main keyboard without skipping any. Typing is great with good tactical feedback and ease of use. And of course the gaming performance. The Intel i5-11400H and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti - , combined with the 512GB SSD make for an awesome gaming experience. It handled all the games tested and played with no frame drops, or any other noticeable issues. The 8gb of RAM is adequate, but if you want to you can upgrade to 16gb and make sure that aspect of your build is all set. Overall I would say this is a great gaming laptop for someone on a budget that wants great performance at a decent price. It works perfect as a regular laptop, with the addition of it being a great gaming laptop as well. Definitely recommend.

Holy crap was this a great deal. I snagged it for $599.00 on sale and wow! I never expected such a cheap laptop would make me so happy. I'll never spend over $1000.00 bucks on a new laptop again. The 3050ti runs any game I throw at it. I usually can't run it at max settings but darn close!

This computer is great. My old laptop was falling apart, so I wanted to get a good one, that could run games. I basically wanted a Skyrim & Sims 3 machine. I've added countless mods to each and it runs fantastic. Got it on sale, so it was a great deal.

Pro: -144Hz display -Cooling design -Expandable storage Con: -No fingerprint or windows hello -Slow charge time -Speakers -Trackpad and buttons Per its spec, this laptop performs as expected, though it’s not without its faults. The i5 is the older 11th gen, and it only has 8GB of ram. The 3050 ti can play light to medium games at 60+ fps, but can struggle on battery. While the build is average with good cooling, the speakers are not good and the trackpad doesn’t feel good to use. There’s also no biometric or Windows Hello. The battery life can last 1 to 2 hours depending on the demand, but is very slow to charge. Build The build is what one would expect from a budget laptop. It’s lighter than it looks and has a hollow feel to it, with the all glossy finish getting smudged easily. The display hinge is strong with minimal wobble, but can’t be open with one hand. On the sides, there’s three USB 3, one USB C, card reader, and separate mic and headphone jacks. On the back, there’s a mini display port, HDMI, ethernet, and the power port. The thick power cable coming out the back gets in the way as you move the laptop. Inside, there’s a full size RGB keyboard and trackpad with the left and right buttons. The keyboard is fine. The RGB is bright, but the colors can only be picked from 14 preset colors. The keys can also be set as Express Keys for macros. The trackpad, however, just doesn’t feel good to use. It doesn’t track as well as matted trackpads and the two buttons feel cheap and mushy. The display is surrounded by ¼ inch bezels on the sides and 1 ½ on the bottom. The bottom has a removable battery, and the internal has extra slots for storage expansion. The bottom firing speakers are located towards the front. Battery With the RGB turned off, the battery will last about 2 hours with light tasks like web browsing or watching youtube. Moderate gaming will last maybe an hour at most. The charge time is very slow. It took at least 2 hours for a full recharge while the system was in sleep mode, longer if the system is in use. Performance The display looks good, with good colors and display angles. The speakers are not good, probably one of the worst I’ve heard on a laptop yet. It’s lacking both highs and lows, with the mids not that clear. It sounds hollow, like small speakers in a can. Plugged in, gaming can be smooth, depending on the game. The 3050 ti can run older games at 100 fps without issues. On battery though, it couldn’t keep 30 fps, even an older game like Doom (2016). The big issue is the ram. 8 GB doesn’t give a lot of head room with Windows already eating almost half of that. CPU demanding games or content creation applications will not run well. The cooling design does a good job of keeping most of the chassis from being hot, with the hottest spot towards the top right section. The internal temp for CPU and GPU will usually be around 80 degrees. The fan and power setting can be adjusted with the control center. At full power, the fans don't get too loud. Worth it? Keep in mind that this is still a budget gaming laptop so there are some compromises. The specs are comparable to other laptops in this range, and it performs as it should. The cooling is better and quieter than other laptops I’ve tested. It also has expandable storage. However, you can find laptops with either a newer CPU or 16 GB of ram for similar price. If you’re willing to upgrade the memory, then that would bring this laptop up a level.

Good laptop, great space( could use a little more) other than that it can play most games pretty good, it has everything you need for a basic gaming laptop. Worth the price I would say.
