Powerful GPU, runs hot

However, Gigabyte used cheap thermal pads (and none of the backplate), meaning the memory junction temps will reach about 110c while doing memory intensive tasks such as video editing. At that point, the card starts to throttle. Taking the card apart and replacing thermal pads fixed the problem, but I shouldn't have to do this on a $1000 card.
