Very nice razor. What a close shave you get from this shaver. The heated shave is that from a barber shop wet towel shave. A must for you everyday facial routine.

To start except for the first time I tried shaving I've always used electric shavers. Avoids the hassle of shaving cream and all. With that being said, because of the features this razor has it made my shaving experience quite enjoyable. Normally it's just a task to knock out every day. But with the warming strip and the cooling sensation from the shaving cream it's like getting a warm massage with a cool breeze blowing across your face at the same time. It was very easy to use out of the box. Simply set it up to charge with its magnetic stand which is also illuminated. and when it's finished simply pick it up.. select the temperature you'd like. (yellow being 109 degrees and orange being 122 degrees) then you're all set. With my pores open compared to my electric shaver this was quite invigorating. The closeness was amazing.The pivoting head made it easy for the contour of my chin and neck which is what I loved about my electric shaver. It's also waterproof and safe to use in the shower.It's made of quality materials and has a nice weight to it as it should be for the price point. It uses 5 blade razors. I'm not a very hairy person and it only took one pass to get my face silky smooth. With that all being said I'd highly recommend this to others!

If you need a heated razor to aid your shaving experience this is a nice one. The charger is magnetic and holds the shaver in the upright position and looks very nice. The build quality seems good but I would expect a little more posh at this premium. The shaver does seem to cut my whiskers better than any shaver Ive tried and that could easily be because it has brand new blades. The heating is strange at first but not an unwelcome sensation. You get used to it and its actually quite nice after a few shaves.

This is my THIRD Razor. The first two malfunctioned after using them for a couple weeks.

Okay...I've had the razor for about a week my wife and I have both used the same blade since I've had the razor. We both shave daily, and the razor is still cutting perfectly. The heat is great, it makes it so much better on my skin. I have little to no irritation on my skin which for me is unheard of when shaving daily. I was even able to shave without shaving cream due to the heat. I can't say enough great things about this razor. I'm even tempted to go buy another one. Oh yeah, the wireless charging is absolutely great. I have not found a flaw yet.

Honestly its a razor with a heated edge... I honestly expected a different feel... I did not keep it, and I was really disappointed at the end result...

I had given up on Gillette shaving not because it was not good as in reality there was no better and closer shave out there. I wanted to cut spending so I went to cheaper options like double blade razor that twists to open. It caused me plenty of cuts and aggravation due to my hair clogging up the razor blades etc etc. the reason I bring it up is I’ve learned that if you want an amazing shave you need to be willing to research and try many different products but eventually at least for me there is no more searching or trying. I’m back to Gillette. Now for this specific product... ARE YOU KIDDING ME. This is awesome. I like the lower heat setting the best personally. I also love how easy it is. The feel, the way the blades contour to your face. If there is any negative to say it’s that a full charge takes a while but then again I keep it on the magnetic charger so I never have to worry about that. So yes. It might not be good as I’m back to buying the Gillette quality razor blades that are not cheap but then again no more embarrassing missed shave areas on my face or dry blood while I talk to my supervisor and don’t even realize it. Gillette is quality and this new razor is crazy amazing. Wow.

I was very excited to try this product as I get frequent razor burn. This item comes with the charging dock, razor, and 2 blade sets. Before your first use, charge it on the dock to get a maximum shaving time. One of the best features about this razor is that it’s waterproof so it can be used in the shower. The razor itself heats up very quickly and provides a warm soothing feeling. I feel that the heat helps give a closer shave that leaves you feeling smooth afterwards. The included blades are very effective at removing hair and also giving you an extremely close shave. The replacement blades are also available for auto-ship through the Gillette website. The only downfall of this product is the price point is higher. This product does feel like it will be long lasting and live up to the price in quality.

I've never had a hot towel shave, so the idea of experiencing something so luxurious a few times a week when I shave sounded appealing. Quick Context: I do not have overly sensitive skin when shaving, I generally shave 3-4 times per week and have mostly viewed shaving as a simple thing to be done relatively quickly as part of my get-ready routines. The Gillette Heated Razor is, as a tech gadget, pretty interesting- solid construction, stylish & unique stand-up charging process, well-built & substantial feel to it. Functionally, it does exactly what it says, it warms up in seconds, warms as you shave and I have no reason to doubt its waterproof-ness (though I shave at the sink, so I was just rinsing). The shave... I will say that the results were a little better than I normally achieve, but I struggle to assign that to the razor or the heated aspect versus what I was doing to try and test the product and enjoy the allegedly luxurious experience. I had to slow down my shaving and alter the angle and mechanics of how I shave just to be able to feel the heat bar during the process. As a lifelong learner, it was interesting to find out that perhaps I haven't been using the best technique when shaving for a couple decades. As a lover of routine & efficiency, I'm not sure the slow-down and style change is worth the disruption. With only minor improvements that require changes in my routine, a significant up-front cost and a commitment to even more expensive blades that currently have to be ordered online, I have a hard time giving this product rave reviews and/or a recommendation.

I was delighted to receive the Gillette Heated Razor I'd ordered. The packaging was excellent setting my expectations high for a great shave. Gillette promoted the razor as giving a shave as good as a barber's straight razor. I opened the packaging, removed the razor, plugged in the charger and placed the razor on the charger in an upright position. The razor and charger lit up white indicating it was actively charging. Once it has completely charged, the white lights turn off. The next morning I lathered up my face with shaving cream, pressed the on button on the razor and its heat indicator lit up bright orange signifying high heat setting. (Yellow light indicates lower heat.) I began shaving. As you shave, you can feel the heat on your skin - a very pleasant experience. And the shave is so close, your face feels like the skin on a baby's butt - soft and very smooth. All in all, a wonderful experience that lived up to Gillette's claim of a straight razor-like shave. I love this razor even with it's $199.00 price tag and $25.00 4-pack replacement blades. I look forward to many years of wonderful service.

I am not sure what i was expecting from this razor or what it is meant to accomplish. Is it warming up to make the process of shaving more soothing and comfortable sensation-wise or is it warming up to help perform a closer shave by opening pores. The blades themselves provide a close shave but they do not outperform other quality 5 blade razors. The warming aspect is very comfortable to sue and makes shaving a soothing relaxing process but I didn't notice an improvement from a regular good 5 razer blade. It doesn't warm an area long enough to open pores of soften hair in order to get a closer shave, in my opinion. The process does make it relaxing but it's comparable to a warm shower, warm face mask..relaxing but not necessarily improving the performance of the act itself. The adjustable heat, magnetic charger and waterproof make this a very cool techie gift for yourself but i don't think the razer outperforms other razers especially at this price point. If you hate shaving, this will help you do it more often because of the warming feature but for the closeness of the shave the price is a little steep.

When I got this I thought it was just another razor gimmick. I didn’t think it would be of any value. I will say that I like a warm shave so figured I give it a try. After using it for a few weeks I can say that a actually enjoy using it. Not sure if the shave is any better but it much more enjoyable with a warm razor every time.

I love Gillette razors and have been using them for 25+ years now. I even switched to a newer competitor but immediately went back since Gillette's blades are far sharper and more comfortable. With that experience in mind, I was really excited to try out a hot shave with this one-of-a-kind Gillette Heated Razor. First impressions were good. The razor is solidly built, sleek, not too heavy and balances effortlessly on its wireless charging pad. Very futuristic and well put together. The head pivots from side to side giving the blades more contouring ability. The packaging is also sleek and well thought out. It comes with an extra blade cartridge but getting replacement blades is not cheap. They can be found for around $50 for an 8pack....yikes!...that's far higher than their standard 8 blade pack cost. Charging it was my first order of priority and it didn't take long to have a fully charged handle to use. I think it took around 1.5 hours since it already had some charge in it, and from empty, I think it takes around 6 hours.That full charge gives you about 18 minutes of warming plate time, which isn't too skimpy. The actual shaving is where I was disappointed. The blade head has a warming plate that heats to either 109F or 122F. I selected the higher temp and went to work. I felt the warming plate from time to time but it wasn't as dramatic as I had envisioned it to be. Rinsing in hot warm negated the warming plate, as the blades were warmed by the water as well. You also need to draw the blade relatively slowly to feel the warming plate and that is not how I typically shave. It was a touch awkward. The blades cut nicely but I didn't see a real advantage over their typical blades. Honestly, it was a bit of a let down. Cleaning up was fine, as the handle is waterproof and you can even use it in the shower. Overall, the Gillette Heated Razor is a nice looking, sleek razor that feels a bit gimmicky in the end. Unfortunately for me, the experience wasn't up to the $200 price tag. Plus, upkeep is far higher that the standard Gillette razor, but I guess if you can afford this one as your "everyday" razor, you probably won't have an issue with the higher refill blade costs.

Been using this for a few weeks now. It works great. It heats up almost immediately and my shaves have been super smooth. I also shave my head with it and it feels great. It also looks great on the counter top. My wife saw it and said "Tell me about that kingly razor on the counter there, it looks like the king of the counter." She was right. Its design is awesome and the magnetic charging base sets it off.
