Great game! Looks even better remastered for PS4. No new features from original game. Iconic and brutal gameplay

Outstanding game great graphics great story a perfect five out of five stars

A beautiful end to the mainline Greek mythology story. If your first God of War was the 2018 one or Ragnarok do yourself a favor and play this one to see the contrast of the so called “calm and reasonable person”.

I remember playing this without stoping for what felt like an entire month several years ago. Overtime, my copy had been misplaced. When I saw that I was able to buy this from BestBuy at a great price..I jumped at it to see if I would like it just as much a 2nd time. I have thoroughly enjoyed going through this game again. I highly recommend God Of War III

Noticed this in the bargain bin and decided to take a chance on it until the new God of War comes out later this year. Was not disappointed. My sons actually finished GOWIII for PS3 when it came out but I wanted to experience it in 1080P, 60FPS goodness. Sound is also top notch and this is just how the series was supposed to look with the superior hardware. Can't wait until the newest iteration is released, I heard in 2018!!!

Remastered to play in 1080p, God of War 3 is full of elaborate battles with an amazing character.

It was already a pretty game, so the small graphical upgrade it gets is not that much better than it was on the PS3. However, if you haven't played it, definitely pick it up. The God of War series really defined a genre when first introduced on the PS2-- a fun, action-packed 3d beat-em-up with platforming and very lite RPG elements (upgrading weapons). There are also Quick Time Events that are used for finishers on enemies, and especially on bosses, so if you have difficulties with quick reflections, you may want to stay away. If you've played it before, there's really nothing new here (except the ability to stop and take pictures of gameplay). Still, it's a great game and a fitting conclusion to the series.

From the storyline to the actual gameplay. God of War is definitely the best game I have ever played.

I so enjoyed the God of War reboot, I decided to get God of War 3 - since it’s regarded as the best in the series and a PlayStation classic. It’s alright. Not amazing, but fun combat, visuals, and puzzles. It’s cheap now so probably worth it’s small price. But I preferred the reboot.

Bear witness to the original legend of Kratos, in the last of the trilogy of his origin. Not to be confused with the new, re-imagined franchise, this is a button mashing, combo controlling, hack 'n slash good time. If you played the original, see how it all ends. Bonus points if you do before picking up the new game, although the stories are completely unrelated and independent of each other.

Amazing story, Excellent gameplay. Worth every penny

I played the original on PS3 when it came out. Have been wanting it for PS4 for quite awhile. It was on sale for an excellent price, I couldn't pass it up. It's definitely the best of the original 3. Highly recommend.

God of War has been a gaming classic ever since it hit the shores of the PS2 days. The hack and slash gameplay, the beautiful greek inspired world, and the anger of kratos makes this a must play for beginners in the series. Perfect time to start playing before god of war 5 comes out in late 2022.

Another great game with great graphics and storyline

Amazing video game. I bought this game for my husband. He didn’t like it at first but after playing it for a while he loved it.

I never played any of the other games in the series and I wasn't overtly concerned with the plot as well as not being certain as to what was going on. With that being said I found the game to be fairly short and while the weapons and fighting style were interesting I would far and away recommend DMC over this game. DMC had a similar, albeit superior, fighting style with a more engaging and interesting story, while also lasting much longer. At $10 though it wasn't a terrible purchase, but again it was just that...nothing spectacular
