This is far better than the first Godzilla film and Kong since we get to see even more monsters and they are absolutely fantastic. The monsters are huge and powerful as they should be and Godzilla proves why he is king of the monsters. As a lifetime long fan of Godzilla moves from the old Japanese films to the current day, I loved this movie and it didn't disappoint in any way.

Not the best 3D, yet GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS remains spectacular, and this version is overrun with more monsters than humankind can possibly handle???? The premise here may be wholly absurd, with Godzilla being a good monster, and others being bad monsters. All is rather confusing, but if lots of action is what you are looking for, this film won't disappoint. Pure excessive monster action, glorious color special effects, and very much like all previous Godzilla movies...unbelievability! After all, Godzilla is awesome , and he is the greatest of all movie monsters, ENJOY!!!!!!

Okay it is like this, I am a older guy whom grew up watching Japanese Sci-Fi movies after school back in the 60's. I have enjoyed them sense the studios of Sony and Warner Brothers have taken over there production. The newest movie is good for the kids (7 years and up) that is when I started watching them on my parents Zenith black and white television. So if you and the kids want to watch a giant monster movie on a Friday or Saturday night, this is a pretty good one.

A little frantic and weird with the story and characters! Definitely worth it in 4K! The sound is phenomenal in a good home theater with over head speakers! Really adds to the scale of the monsters!

I saw it on the big screen and loved it. When I saw it on sale at Best Buy I knew I had to buy it. Watched it last weekend with my girlfriend and it was great on my large screen with 7.1 surround sound. Worth watching again. All the greats are here. Mothra, Ghidorah, Rodan, and of course, the king, Godzilla. Lots of action and thrills. Even a few points where Zilla scared us. If you like super-sized Kaiju, you have to watch this movie.

...but I loved watching this at home. Much better than the 2014 version, but you still have to turn off your brain. It's a Godzilla movie and you're not watching it for Academy Award-winning performances, you're watching it for the special effects and they did a great job on this one. Sit back and enjoy and another great Best Buy exclusive steelbook package.

A very exciting & well made movie that will sure to be a hit for SciFi & monster fans young & old alike. You can tell a lot of development went into recreating the classic monsters to bring them to the 21st Century. Plot was well conceived, special effects were very impressive & the overall movie was very entertaining. Can't wait to see how they follow this up

Got it in 3D!!! by far the Best Godzilla movie yet !!! Lots of supersizes ( like Burning Godzilla , Oxygen Destroyer etc and four new directions for the next movie to go in) . If you didn't like this it's because your NOT a fan and or you DON'T know anything about GodZiLLA! Maybe your just a griefer ?!

I enjoyed the previous Godzilla movie, but it was too dark & I missed some of the other monsters. In this movie, we have the best monsters (other than Mechagodilla) and there is more action. I loved the fight scenes, and of course, Millie Bobby Brown was great. If you’re a Godzilla fan, I think you will enjoy it. It’s what we go to the movies for. If you’re not a fan, you can still be introduced to the characters that have been modernized for today.

I really enjoyed this film. My biggest criticism is of the script and some of the human characters' motivations and decisions which were very questionable and could take you out of the movie. (Yeah, yeah, I know, this is a Godzilla movie) However, the rest of the film is nicely done. The cast is good, the monsters are brought to life well with stunning visual effects, and the music is very well done with callbacks to the older films. If you are a Godzilla fan, then I recommend this film to you. It's worth it for the monster fights alone.

I know a great many people ripped this movie a new one, but for someone who used to watch a bunch of monster movies Sunday morning as a kid before church... Ultraman, Gamera, Spectraman, Godzilla... seeing Ghidorah back in action with Rodan and Mothra was cool. I am just curious how this Kong vs Godzilla is going to play out...I am guessing it's going to end up being a tag team of some kind at some point in the movie vs Mecha Ghidorah?

I enjoyed the first Godzilla film in what now seems to be developing into a series so this sequel turned out to be quite an entertaining watch. I enjoyed the new take on the iconic Toho monsters of old, Rodan, Mothra, etc. and the modern storyline bringing them back. This 3D version holds up well with out overdoing it for the sake of the technology. Otherwise the image and sound are great and I highly recommend it for fans of the genre.

Saw it in the theater and then purchased it on 4K Blu Ray. A fun Godzilla movie with great special effects and some epic monster battles. The movie absolutely pops on 4K. The first Godzilla movie from Edwards was good but there wasn’t enough Godzilla in it. No problems with that in the sequel. Godzilla and the rest of the “Titans” all get ample screen time. Looking forward to the next chapter in the series “Kong versus Godzilla”.

Well being alive as the ole Japanese monster movies were coming out and knowing all the monsters names and watching them every Saturday this was a nice surprise as they took some (not all) in for this movie! Ghidora was always a favorite of mine as that 3 headed dragon was wicked as a creature!!! They ramped it up in this one it being 1 tough customer!! I won’t spoil it for anyone but if you liked the 2014 Godzilla you’ll like this one!

There have been mixed reviews regarding this movie. I personally love this movie. It is everything a Godzilla movie should be. Ghidorah was the most powerful he's ever been. Mothra was amazing first appearance since the 90s. If you are a fan of the Godzilla franchise, this is a must have for your collection. I may be biased, but I have been watching Godzilla since childhood and I have every movie. Get this movie you won't regret it.

As a huge fan of the first Godzilla, I was pretty excited about this sequel. When they started showing technology that didn't make sense, I thought that they didn't stay true to the in-world universe they had created themselves. Sure, EMP's are all fine and even bombs that destroy oxygen, but I didn't appreciate the larger than life aircraft that could house smaller aircraft in it and operate as a base of operations. That was a little too far fetched for me. Other than that, it was a good monster movie where you get what you paid for!

I loved this movie because it had what every Godzilla fan wants more Godzilla. Sure there is always room for improvement in the human characters and storyline but this movie was far better than any Godzilla movie I have ever since and I have been a fan since the early 70’s. Hopefully the next one will be even better. Long live The King!!!!

I have been a Godzilla fan since I was a kid. I was ecstatic when I found out they were making new Godzilla movies. I really liked the first one and this one built off of that one! I really can't wait to see where they go with the shared universe they are building with King Kong. If you are a Godzilla fan, I think you will enjoy this movie!

The reviews I had read were all over the place. Most complained too much monster fighting and not enough plot development. I couldn't agree LESS! Plenty of fighting for sure, but not too much by any means and really plenty of plot development. Make sure to catch the end scene!

The previous Godzilla movie in 2014 brought the franchise up to modern times, but the latest release ("King of Monsters") brings more action and Godzilla's greatest foes into the mix. The set pieces, action and CGI are terrific. The monster battles are a sight to behold. If there is a knock on the movie, it is some of the wooden (and annoying( human actors and their cheesy one-liners. I could have done without the eye-rolling comic relief. It's still an enjoyable modern take of what made the old Godzilla movies great.
