Good fun and action and excitement all the way , lots to see and the experience is good

This being the 4th film in Legendary's Monsterverse, you're pretty well going to have your mind made up on whether you're a fan or not, and if you haven't enjoyed the series as a whole, this isn't going to change your mind any more than if you ARE a fan. But, for those who are on the fence- especially considering the lengthy Godzilla that started the series, ending with some (rightful) frustration in how little the "Big G" was utilized in its runtime, but have found redemption as the series has rolled along, this culmination of the "Big Two" will be a fun ride. I'm going with 5 stars here, just because of how joyous the movie is; giant monster films simply don't need to be perfect in plot, and as long as the wrecking outweighs the plot holes, (unless you're a true "critic") it's fun to get lost in not just the giant monsters, but the outright level of destruction they impose. As my inner-child, introduced to my favorite genre, horror, via B&W bunny ear TVs almost a half century ago, grinned ear to ear, I looked over to see my 8 year old son doing the exact same. THAT can't be beaten. Is there some frustration involved with Godzilla vs Kong, or more directly, the Monsterverse itself? Definitely yes. There's nothing more than some video monitors and images of some of the other big creatures and a "Final Four" bracket played through the opening credits to tell you what has become of the other Kaiju who had roles big and small in King of the Monsters, simply swept away to get to our new story. And "swept away" was just too common in this series, particularly when trying to make a connection with any of the humans throughout- big name draws just set aside after each film, eras set aside. Still, that ear to ear grin remains, because it's just too fun watching the REAL stars punch each other in the face with a skyscraper. Escapism at some of its finest.

Huge fan of Godzilla and Kong. Happy they made this movie the way they did.
