The fourth movie in the “Monsterverse” series is what we have all been waiting for, Godzilla vs. Kong. The story and the acting are probably the worst of the series, but the monster fights are amazing. Just turn your brain off for a couple hours and enjoy the destruction. I am pretty new to UHD, but this might be the best looking disc I have seen so far. The A/V quality of the UHD disc is outstanding. The special features are pretty good as well. Several featurettes and a director’s commentary add to a phenomenal looking disc.

I love this movie so much it is a 10 out of 10 it is my favorite movie it is on my number one spot with my other favorite movies are my number one spot! All the fight scenes are really awesome they look really gorgeous and all the shots on the fight scenes are really gorgeous! All the chase scenes are really awesome they look really gorgeous and all the shots on the tracings are really gorgeous! The story is really good, the acting is really good, the cinematography is really good! Go watch this Movie right now!

Kong fans, Godzilla fans, Giant monster fans, rejoice this is a good one. Giant Monsters Fights..... So Good, from the first to the last, you can't help but love every second of it. Also action is clean, not hidden by darkness and rain. Action well paced to keep things going and still have times for story development. Human characters: they have a role and don't get in the way of Giant Monsters fighting. Creative follow up to Kong island and King of Monsters the two stories combine in a good way.

Littered with the sort of spectacular visuals and sensational thrills we'd expect from such a popcorn spectacle, Godzilla vs. Kong is a surprisingly satisfying installment to the franchise. Although thin on plot and characterization, the monster flick nonetheless works and delivers on the blockbuster spectacle promised, making it the enjoyable mindless escapism needed after a year of lockdowns and closed theaters. The iconic monsters wreak absolute havoc on 4K Ultra HD with a notably gorgeous Dolby Vision HDR presentation and a phenomenal, reference-quality Dolby Atmos soundtrack. With a rather disappointing collection of bonuses, the overall UHD package nonetheless makes a recommended addition to the library.

It's been established that Godzilla is king of the monsters. So, introduce a lovable little girl who 'signs' with Kong and he's no longer a monster but a humanoid champion. Then put him out of his element on water. Even when the fight subsequently moves to land, Godzilla has a fearsome array of weaponry so the outcome is hardly surprising. What is, is the unexpected wrinkle that causes Godzilla and Kong to show begrudging respect and team up to face a power greater than either of them. This was a satisfying watch.

I'd rate it between a 3.5 and 4.5 because the picture was very good, but the sound, though good, was hard to control. In essence, the pitch & volume of the "rawr's" or sounds from Kong and Godzilla were either lacking or greatly overpowering. I spent near 2 hours trying to figure out how to reduce the bursts of high volume (the sounds that makes your ears go numb or ring) and am still trying to work out the kinks - this could just be how the movie was produced, but it can produce a taxing and ringing ear sensation. If you want to shake the house or impress your friends with bass, this is definitely the movie to play.

Awesome steelbook with great cover art. I do have to say I prefer the interior artwork to the exterior. But either way great addition to my collection. And the movie itself was surprisingly awesome. Watched it on HBO max and was surprised with how fun it was. Everyone complains about the lack of human character plot threads/development. But it’s not called Godzilla V Kong with humans there Too! It’s GODZILLA V KONG. enjoy the fights and the movie for what it is. And Godzilla all the way. Long live the KING

Regarding the movie itself: it’s a film about a giant dinosaur fighting a giant ape. You get what you pay for. As far as the disc itself, I have to say, this is one of the best-looking 4K discs I have ever seen! That is not an exaggeration. Picture is stunning, and the colors are vibrant. The sound mix is no disappointment either. The shots of them fighting in the city at night especially shine. If you have a home theater setup, this disc will be a great addition to your collection!

The movie itself has been in the making for what feels like forever. It's a really fun movie where we get to see both characters fight and eventually fight together against a common foe. Aside from that if you're a fan, you will enjoy this entry.. if you're looking for a great 4K disc with amazing picture and sound to impress your guests, look no further. It's great if you Crank It up loud enough you'll feel like both monsters are fighting in your living room.

I purchased the week of Black Friday for $7.99 and it came with an expired digital code. I contacted Warner Brothers and provided them the digital code number as well as a copy of my receipt from Bestbuy.com and their response was that the codes are based on when the movie is released, not when they are sold. I contacted Bestbuy.com to see about exchanging the movie, hoping to get one with a valid digital code. I was told to bring it into a store to exchange. When I informed them them that my local store no longer carries movies, I was again told to go to the store. I informed them again that was not an option and requested a return label so that Bestbuy.com could perform the exchange. They offered me a return label, but told me they couldn't perform an exchange and I would have to pay the current price of $29.99. I told them to forget it. DO NOT BUY ANY WARNER BROTHER'S MOVIE. They don't care if their digital codes are expired. DO NOT BUY MOVIES FROM BESTBUY.COM. They will try to send you to a store if there is an issue and will not honor exchange prices.

Great movie, one of my favorites this year. Plus the visuals and audio is pretty rad, It's definitely a movie to get to show off how cool your TV can look or how sick your audio setup is. Also I Write this at the end of all my movie reviews but NEVER buy movies online from best buy. Every time I've boughten a movie shipped to me online it has always come poorly packaged, broken, and or dented. EVERY SINGLE TIME WITHOUT FAIL. ALWAYS buy in store or purchase for store pickup.

Sad that 3D has become a dead format in the US. By the way, only the 3D Marvel BluRay movies contain up to 28 minutes of IMAX scenes and they look spectacular!!!!! This particular movies 3D conversion was done very well. Great depth in many scenes and great pop out scenes as well. The DTS-HD Master audio is a sonic boom with good dialogue volume. No complaints. Highly recommended.

Monster approved steel book here!! Loved the design and Best Buy always knocks it out of the park with their exclusive movie cases. I enjoy the steel book design inside and out as it promotes exactly what you get from the film. Of course the 4k film itself is outstanding quality, and despite the digital age taking over, I will always prefer physical media as I can display these amazing 4k films and never need internet to enjoy them in their highest quality !!

Saw this on HBO MAX when it debuted and really though the visuals were the highlight of the movie. Action is top notch and the fight scenes were terrific. The only truly disappointing aspect of the movie was the humans. Would've loved the movie to stick to a darker tone like Batman vs. Superman but alas, the movie was still fun as an over the top popcorn flick. Also buying it on a Black Friday sale made it much easier to purchase. The visuals and sound are cranked to an 11 on the physical disc. Easily an improvement over the HBO stream. If you can catch it on sale and are a fan of the movie I say it's worth the purchase.

There's lots of action and special effects in Godzilla Vs. Kong, so no worries there...but I have mixed feelings about throwing (spoiler alert) Mechagodzilla into the fray. It feels like that should've been a separate story in its own right. Instead, we get a lot of back and forth between Kong's hollow Earth origin and a subplot explaining Mechagodzilla. Mechagodzilla serves his purpose in the story by giving Godzilla and Kong a common enemy, which in turn has them agreeing to a truce in the end. However, giving Mechagodzilla so little screen time feels rushed. Regardless, there's still plenty to appreciate here for kaiju fans. Just sit back and enjoy the carnage.

I only bought this for the Steelbook to place the 3D BluRay disc along with the 4K disc. This review is for the 3D only since that’s my go to format(when it’s available in the US, otherwise I order 3D’s from the UK). The 3D is stunning but that all depends on your 3D setup. I have an Optoma CinemaX P2 UST projector and the 3D really pops in this movie. Only way to see it as far as I’m concerned. The DTS-HD Master Audio is down right assaulting on the ears!!!

I love the whole series; they work very well together. Godzilla vs. Kong is AMAZING! It has ACTION, HUMOR and HEART! To me, what I found especially wonderful was the looks on both of their faces during the battles. It's like they are laughing at each other. It also shows the futility of man trying to CONTROL nature, which is usually doomed to failure. The 4K is STUNNING! I will be watching this over and over, just like the original Godzilla.

A+++ movie for Godzilla or Kong fans. As a lifelong Godzilla fan, this is easily the most fun I’ve had with a non Toho released movie. The steelbook may not be the best looking, but the picture and sound quality of the 4K disc are a great “best of” demo for what the format can offer with the right screen and sound system. Definitely a must have for any Godzilla, Kong, daikaiju, or big blockbuster fans, and for home theater and 4K enthusiasts.

You likely know what you're getting in a movie called Godzilla Vs Kong. What you are getting beyond the obvious (or maybe in addition to the obvious) is the single best sounding Atmos Mix I've personally ever heard, with incredible detailed picture to match. Colors are vibrant and blacks are actually black. The perfect demo disc, and a decent movie. Also, I really like the Steelbook art.

One of the most anticipated monster films in the past 2 decades. This match-up between Godzilla and King Kong does not disappoint. A focus more on the creatures than the human characters ensures an action driven plot line. If you are a fan of science fiction, action, and larger than life creatures this is one for you. Graphics that set the standard for modern film.
