The chrome cast works really well with the rest of our google home items. It’s important to know that you will be casting when using this for the most part (aside from a couple built in apps), so if you prefer to have all your apps on a device that you can scroll through then this may not be for you. However, casting has been really easy and of better quality than I expected.

The Google Cast does just what we wanted. Picture and speed are fine. My only complaint is that I could not set it up using my Windows laptop. After calling support, they said it must be set up with a smart phone/Google Home App. I choose to live my life without owning a smart phone, so my wife had to set it up for us. After that, it works great from my laptop and from my wife's iPad.

I bought a HDTV a few years ago and the model had a great picture but no smart features. Chromecast makes streaming media a snap! Now I can watch what I want, when I want without a lot of complicated stuff hooked up to my television. Very happy with my purchase!

I like to use this product on my big screen tv to display photos uploaded to Google Photos and while showing photos I can play music from Spotify. I also enjoy creating a speaker group and have 6 devices around the house playing the same music.

This is an excellent streaming device that works well with high speed wi-fi. It's a fairly simple setup with the Google Home app, which is free, and takes a few moments. There are many apps compatible with the Chromecast and there will usually be a corresponding icon with the related apps to let you know that you can stream to the Chromecast. It does come with an AC adapter which is necessary to use if the HDMI port used doesn't power the Chromecast. (many don't) This isn't necessarily a problem unless the TV is far from an open outlet plug. You are also able to "assign" the Chromecast to the TV by giving it a particular name which is done during the setup process. This is helpful should you happen to get multiple devices of this kind. This is an excellent device that is very ideal, especially for those want to "cut the cord" when it comes to their viewing habits, as there are plenty of free apps that allow for streaming both of music, movies, and other content.

I originally purchased this to use as a 'work around' Prime Video not playing nicely with TiVo ughhhh. Come to find out Prime Video doesn't play nicely with a lot of other devices and/or services, Prime Video won't play at all with Chromecast. Amazon is forcing the use of the Fire stick. IMHO, Poor choice Amazon, just seyn. To be forced into the purchase of a device to use all features of a membership that we pay for, just irritates the crap out of me. I get it, Amazon wants to keep everything proprietary. However, we purchased the video titles, etc. and have a hard time watching them arg. Our family is a multi device brand, 'operating system', aside from Amazon, everything inter-mingles, and works well no matter I'm using a Google product via a Microsoft device or visa versa. This Chromecast worked flawlessly right out of the box. Works as expected, and I can watch T.V. with a great deal more variety. Oh, this is the 4th Chromecast in out home.

I picked this up for my Dad who doesn't have a Smart TV but is interested in subscribing to various streaming services. This device worked perfectly. It's inexpensive, easy to use, and does exactly what it's meant for. I highly recommend it.

I really like this device. I can cast all kinds of things to my TV now. It's nice not having to watch stuff on my phone screen when I'm home. The instructions for set up are very easy. It's a smooth process. I have no complaints.

So freaking glad I bought this when I did. Got this before quarantine hit and I haven't looked back. It's easy to use and makes worrying over not having the right TV for a specific app a thing of the past. If it's on my phone it'll play on my TV.

I needed a device to easily cast my Chrombook to a Samsung TV. This was the perfect solution. I had an open HDMI port. Just plugged this in, set it up, and I was casting away. Glad I purchased this.

My television is not a smart set - Chromecast lets us get close to one. You Tube, Amazon prime movies, home videos or photos- anything you can view on a laptop, tablet, PC or smart phone can be cast to the television. Easy to use and well worth the money.

Works great, can watch a lot of shows with this thing. Connects with Google assistant and you can ask it to go to YouTube or Netflix or you can stream from your iPhone to this. Easy to install, just plug it into an available hdmi port and a usb to power it up, turn your tv to the correct hdmi and it will walk you through the set up.

As for the device itself - it does, what it's intended for; used to have the first-gen of Chromecast a few years back - current-gen. seems to be faster and more stable (used to get a lot of connection errors on the previous generation - have never seen anything like that on new-gen.) Overall good experience so far and I like it

This is my second Chromecast, the first one bought a couple of years ago and still works fine, just need another one for my basement TV, this one meets my need well and a bit faster than the first generation I had. Set up is a piece of cake.

Super convenient and easy to set up! It's a must if you stream from different carriers. This is my second Chromecast (purchased one in 2019). If you have an older TV without apps, this connects via HDMI port in your and you're good to go!

The Chromecast set up was a breeze and it is much faster than the older version, only problem is they need to be connected to the TV you are watching and so I am in the process of buying one for each TV. They gave me a 10% discount because it was the month of my birthday! very cool!

Chromcast is a must have for cord cutters and people on the go. It is an easy plug and play that lets you cast your video apps (amazon, netflix, Disney plus, Hulu, etc). seamlessly on any HDMI compatible TV or monitor. It is one of those devices that you don't really know how much you need it until you have one. I personally have 3 in my house.

I replaced chromecast Gen 1 with Gen 3. The difference is so much better! Streaming is excellent with virtually no buffering. Picture is clear with no latency. The device updates itself to stay with current functions. Definitely recommend the upgrade!

This is a great streaming device, and as of the writing of this review Amazon comparability was just added. Does great with Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, and MoviesAnywhere. It is not currently compatible with Apple Movies. It is compatible with an iPhone to control it though.
