I bought this as a gift for my brother in law. He was trying to upgrade an old TV to Smart TV. The most useful features are streaming from your android phone, iphone or tablet. I only wish it had a remote that worked with it instead of always needing to cast from another device. It makes pausing, fast forwarding and rewinding a pain sometimes.

It actually has a better picture than I was expecting. It was very easy to setup, basically a plug and play. My mom can even work it with ease.

Cool gadget

Love Casting

The only issue I have with this device is that it periodically overheats and loses its connection. Occasionally it needs to be reset by disconnecting/connecting power.

Necessary device for the No-Contract Era

We were spending over $100 a month on Directv, and we wanted a way out. So I did some research and decided to try Youtube TV, and I highly recommend it. But in order to utilize it, I needed this device to make it happen. The Chromecast is a simple to use device that works very well. It works great with my Iphone, and allows me to watch Youtube and Youtube TV on my TV with ease, and the broadcast always comes in clear, just as if I was watching a Satellite cast. Highly recommend!
