I bought this as a gift for my brother in law. He was trying to upgrade an old TV to Smart TV. The most useful features are streaming from your android phone, iphone or tablet. Easy setup and great picture quality!

It actually has a better picture than I was expecting. It was very easy to setup, basically a plug and play. My mom can even work it with ease.

Cool gadget

Necessary device for the No-Contract Era

We were spending over $100 a month on Directv, and we wanted a way out. So I did some research and decided to try Youtube TV, and I highly recommend it. But in order to utilize it, I needed this device to make it happen. The Chromecast is a simple to use device that works very well. It works great with my Iphone, and allows me to watch Youtube and Youtube TV on my TV with ease, and the broadcast always comes in clear, just as if I was watching a Satellite cast. Highly recommend!

Love Casting

The only issue I have with this device is that it periodically overheats and loses its connection. Occasionally it needs to be reset by disconnecting/connecting power.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Initial setup may be a bit daunting to someone who is not tech savvy...I'm referring to the google home assistant app setup using your phone here...but you can navigate that by paying attention to the instructions. I did not buy the 4k version as it was twice as much..and I am 100% happy with the picture quality of this device. Would recommend it without reservation as a method to "cast" video and music from your phone or computer. I have an android phone and windows computer...no issues!

I bought my flat screen for my bedroom before smart tvs were affordable as they are now and this makes it so simple and easy to cast anything on your phone to the tv. It is a pretty simple set up. I cast movies and shows from amazon prime, hulu, you tube, you can even cast movies or clips from any internet site as well.
