I brought this item for my basement and I absolutely love it.... wish I would've known about it sooner. I don't know the employees name who rang up my merchandise but he was great with information about this device and many other questions I had. He helped me all the way through my visit in best buy. Furthermore the installation was easy and simple and it automatically connects to all of hand held devices in the house.

I love this gadget. I can set up a quick video presentation anywhere with just hooking this up and synching my PC to it. I hated being a Windows/Google user in a mostly Apple world in Silicon Valley, but the Chromecast helped me get through the "Oh, you don't have Airplay?" conferences. Welp, let me hook this up real quick and there we have it. Now I get "Oh wow, how did you do that?!" Jesus. Get out of the bubble already.

Just as simple as the original chromecast but easily twice as fast to boot up and stream, works perfectly

Good buy for a great price-point. I have only had an issue once or twice with it connecting to my TV but the problem usually quickly alleviates itself.

Google chrome works well and supports a wealth of applications ( although some don’t load well) In my opinion the major issues is the lack of a remote control and occasional the app doesn’t load the first time the chrome icon is engaged. Also you need to have the app’s loaded on your smartphone or PC. I’d purchased the version 3 which is the newest version for $35.00! dollars. After about two days I was disappointed since I had read great reviews of the product and returned the product for a Roku which in my opinion opinion functions better. In short google chrome need to keep up with the comptetion.

This is a great device to have for streaming content to a non smart tv. Much faster than the 1st generation device.

Easy to set up, with the Google Home app from my iPhone. Now I can cast videos and photos from my phone onto the TV.

We have several of these around the house. Very simple setup, easy to use, and small size is an added bonus.

Plug it in, sign into your Google account, and you’re off to the races. If you can find these on sale, they’re a great value, but even at retail, it’s still very reasonable. It’s a great way to quickly make a “dumb” tv smart. If you’re setting these up for non-techie friends/family, you can set it and forget, and they should be good for a while!
