Great little device

Needs Update

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Google chrome works well and supports a wealth of applications ( although some don’t load well) In my opinion the major issues is the lack of a remote control and occasional the app doesn’t load the first time the chrome icon is engaged. Also you need to have the app’s loaded on your smartphone or PC. I’d purchased the version 3 which is the newest version for $35.00! dollars. After about two days I was disappointed since I had read great reviews of the product and returned the product for a Roku which in my opinion opinion functions better. In short google chrome need to keep up with the comptetion.

I asked for help about this matter in the Best Buy store. One of the clerk suggested to buy this accessory, Chromecast Streaming Media Player. Now I can see my favorites programs without problem. The color and size of this product is also nice.

They are both providing clear solid streaming via the WiFi connection. This newer model was placed in the 2nd floor bonus room and provides excellent streaming whether I'm streaming Amazon movies, Netflix or just pic. One thing to keep in mind is that you need a cell phone to install it. In the past you could use a PC to install, but not any more. It does provide streaming from a PC once installed with the cell phone app.
