I've never used any of the apps on it but I use this to stream my laptop to non-smart TVs. I use it mostly for presentations or zoom meetings on big screen. There's a considerable lag in between what you're doing on the laptop and what's on the screen. Overall it gets the job done and it's very cheap. All you need is WiFi and Google Chrome browser.

Easy to set it up. Works well with any LED TV. Very useful if you do not have any Android apps on your tv

This is an awesome media player adaptor! Very easy to set up and pair with my phone. I have Apple TV on my phone but can't get the app on my TV. This eliminated the problem of watch Apple TV on my television. I downloaded the google app onto my phone and it automatically found the chrome cast device. I paired the two together and started watching. This is a great item for the price! I would recommend it to others!

After a few years we finally decided to go ahead and buy a second chrome cast device for our other tv. Definitely comes in handy when we are going camping and don't have to unplug it from our main tv set. Plus kids can stream their own programs on their tv in separate room. Should have purchased long time ago. Thanks for great costumer service and knowledge from best buy staff.

I have the previous version of the chromecast, and compared to this one, I like the new one better. Easier to setup than the previous version, much to it is because google has improved the phone app to set it up. Only word of warning is that you will need to allow a few minutes for updates before it becomes fully functional. Once the update is done, you're immediately in business and can begin streaming anything your phone allows it to.

This is a really useful device, and very well priced. Some issues with certain wifi setups but, if you can get it to work correctly, it’s very useful

Chromecast is still the best at casting from almost any device. Keep in mind the apps are not on the Chromecast but rather on the device you're using, so the good news is if your phone or computer or tablet has it on it, you can probably put it on your TV. This is great for things like HBO Max which, still at the time of this writing, is not on the majority of streaming platforms like Roku .
