Very useful. Can cast phone/laptop to tv. light weight and easy to use/transport. Sometimes it has issues connecting, but it works great for the most part.

I've been using my original Chromecast for more than 6 years until the USB port connecting to the dongle doesn't hold securely anymore. So I decided to upgrade to this standard third-generation Chromecast. At first, I was torn between this one and the Chromecast Ultra. But since I'm only after with the basic features I decided to choose this one. Besides, it's half the price of Chromecast Ultra.

I was looking for an update to my aging 1st generation Chromecast. I got this on sale at Best Buy and it's a worthy upgrade. It's noticeably faster, less buffering, and also integrates more seamlessly with my Google Home set up. We usually stream from our apps on the phone and cast to the TV, so we have more usage on a Chromecast rather than other streaming media players.

To be honest we used this Chromecast to stream a slideshow to a TV in a commercial environment. It works perfectly for that. I'm usually a fan of Fire sticks and Fire TV for movie streaming but this unit did that fine too during testing. For streaming browser content to your TV this thing rocks! Very simple setup and using it is straightforward and simple to understand. Highly recommended overall!

Use this in my garage primarily to pull up You Tube videos. Easy setup, hooks up to phone most of the time but can require cycling the connection at first.

I prefer this one over the Amazon fire stick because my Amazon fire stick was forcing me to purchase Amazon prime when I never buy from them because I refuse to do that. This chrome cast was awesome because I could pause stuff from my phone and turn stuff off for my phone. Way easier than trying to find a remote. This is way more amazing in my opinion versus the amazon fire stick!

Newer model purchased to replace the 1st Chromecast I own. The first one was still working but for some reason it kept dropping connections to my handheld devices. I was hoping this new version would better handle V software on the newer devices. So far so good. Everything else about it seems no different then the original Chromecast. It's simple and efficient. I like it so much better then Roku and the other options.

First of all, I bought this Chromecast to us on a big screen I've had for years that is not a smart TV. I'm impressed with the ability to cast videos and music from my phone or tablet to this TV. Work fast with almost no delays or buffering granted if your internet is as fast as well. Work awesome when paired with the Google assistant for those times you just want to say what you want to watch from Netflix or YouTube, it will immediately start playing on that TV with no issues. I am going to buy another one of these for another TV I use in the garage that is also non smart.
