It was a great purchase! It was easy to use And easy to setup

I bought this device before I broke free of my cable contract. Best purchase I have made. My kids each have one in there rooms but they hardly use them. My husband and I are old school and still use our TVs in our room and living room. We are able to cast from our phone. Love that we no longer have large cable bill due to this device.

If you are an Android smartphone user or use Chrome on Windows PC, buy one or the 4K version. This is way better than the Miracast (which is a pity since it is pretty much built-in in all Android and Windows devices and has so much potential). Of course, I assume your want to stream/cast something to your TV or speakers. If you use iOS/Mac OS, this would not be too useful. Still works for some apps but in general not too good yet. Chrome on iOS/MacOS does not seem to work so well either, but I am only a casual Apple user (I only debug problems for the many Apple users in the family) so I have not tested out everything thoroughly. My advice: just buy an Apple TV ($$) and save yourself some headaches if you are an Apple user. The only complaints I heard is the CEC function of the Chromecast may act up and affect the other HDMI devices connected. I have not experienced this (but occasionally need to restart the casting when I got a blank screen upon starting a session). After getting frustrated with CEC devices for years, the Chromecast CEC is the first one that works most of the time. (I hope it stays that way.) Of course, it also depends on your other devices (TV, receiver). YMMV. Just bought a second one and am waiting for the 4K version to go on sale.

Reasonable price. Works very well, I only wish I had purchased one sooner.

It was for my son's college dorm, and he actually needed roku instead.

Work great! Easy to use. Mostly use for Netflix and movie apps.

After have the amazon fire stick and not being real impressed I wanted to try something new and I am so glad I chose chromecast! Just took a few minutes to set up and download app onto my phone and extremely easy to use! No more looking for remotes I can easly use with my iphone and iPad! We use mostly with the sling app but very easy to use with any streaming app!

I wasn't sure how I was going to like the google chromecast, but it was easy to install (google walks you through it step by step) and if I'm casting something from my phone, it sits in the background and I can still have full use of my phone if needed. Definitely recommend!

Bought purposely for its compatibility with the Google Home suite of products. Works well and as expected.

Not the most user friendly device to use. While chrome cast works great and is really good for streaming here were a few things that I did not like. It was cool that it could be linked to a google home if you have one and that your phone was basically the remote. Unfortunately you have to set up everything from your computer or phone you could not do it from the tv like you can a fire stick. Still a great product just not what we were looking for.

I previously had the 1st generation. This gets the job done the only thing I don’t like is it doesn't have a built in home screen with apps which you can select...everything has to be done through a device. I understand it’s for casting but I wish they would have all of the apps built in like other streaming sticks. I used it to cast movies into my projector this summer for backyard movie nights and no issue because I was close to my wifi router.

This device was very easy to set up and worked flawlessly. I had a bit of problem getting my Ipad to respect that it was there, but after a bit of research it connected and has worked fine ever since. I have not explored all the options with this as I am using it to cast Peloton from my Ipad to my Non-Smart TV.
