Works very well for casting from all our devices to our Big Screen TV which unfortunately does not have a Net Connection. One major issue with the device is that there is no way to control which WIFI network it connects to -- and I have four of the in the house (Main and Guest on 2.5GHZ, and Main and Guest on 5GHZ). This is a real pain, and requires try and pray and hope that it will connect to the Main 5HZ network where all our devices are connected. One other issue is that Colors and Brightness, and also Audio Equalization seems to get clobbered by Chromecast is used. Color and Brightness are blinding, and Audio is muddled. We have to adjust things on the TV every time we use Chromecast and set it back to normal when we are watching TV without the Chromecast. These can be show stoppers for some. We are getting used to these issues, as the ability to watch You Tube as a family on our Living Room Large TV (which does not have net connection) is well worth everything.

I thought I needed a SMART TV to stream content till a family member introduced me to Google Chromecast. A whole new world has opened up for me. Following the screen prompts made setup easy. I was soon casting content from my cell phone to my TV. I now have the tool I need to finally cut the cord.

This is my second chromecast, this one was purchased as a backup to a Samsung smart TV, does the job it was designed to do. The reason i gave it 4 stars is because the INITIAL setup was impossible with a up-to-date Samsung galaxy phone, fortunately i still had my old phone laying around, that was outdated in terms of software and was able to proceed with the intial setup using it. afterwards using my current phone to 'cast' was not an issue

Good device to stream from your phone. I use for my upstairs tv. I love this and the fire stick. Only difference is you use your phone for as a remote to stream and control. Whereas the fire stick you use the remote it comes with (but can also mirror depending on phone). This is cheaper if you can’t decide. Get it, it’s a great device.

Connects easily if you have a compatible device. Works seamlessly if you have an up to date tv.

We have a TV that's HD but fairly old, and thus not a smart TV, and another that is a smart TV, but older, and lacking some of the recent apps (i.e. ESPN+, Disney+, etc.), even with a system update. We therefore needs need Chromecast for these TVs, and it works great.

I have had the first generation chromecast since it came out, it was getting old bent and started to just die out some times it had its great runs and lasted me a good 6 years so i knew it was time to upgrade and i bought the latest one and the impressive speed and responsiveness was AMAZING!!! it casted almost immediately i would rebuy a thousand times over

I do most of my TV watching online through Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc. Before I got chromecast, I was only able to get Netflix and Hulu up on my TV and I had to watch everything else on my computer or phone with chromecast, anything I can put on my phone can now be cast to my TV! It has made everything so much easier!

We had one chromecast before ordering this and realized we need another for our main level. Before, we would keep running it up and down the stairs and switch between two TV's whenever we needed it. But since Best Buy was selling these at a great price for Black Friday, we decided to jump on the sale and get one.
