I originally bought this to supplement my roku, as hbo max was unavailable on roku. The chrome cast works flawlessly and is extremely easy to use. I no longer use my roku and simply use this. My only complaint is that the cast button disappears once in a while and a reset is needed to fix the issue.

Easy to use. Stays out of the way. I have even taken it with me to share video to multiple people. Some remote applications don't work with it, but that was to be expected. My Roku stick still is more useful, but this is solid and predictably good when doing the right thing with it.

Very easy to setup and use, great to stream YouTube and Netflix.

It functions well and was easy to setup. However it does buffer quite a lot when using for Netflix. I also do not like that you have to use your phone as a remote. Amazon fire stick is much nicer as it comes with a very nice remote and does not cast off your phone so no buffering really.

This is a replacement for our 1st generation Chromecast which finally died after many years of use. We use it with a Sony TV to cast Amazon and Netflix movies from our laptop to the TV since we do not have cable and use an antenna in the attic. Very easy setup and use.

The Google Chromecast works perfectly for us. Most of our TV sets are older models, which means they are non-smart units. Instead of purchasing smart TV's, Goolge Chromecast is the least expensive way for streaming. Of course, we cannot stream everything with it like smart tv does. But is just enough for us.

I've had this for a few weeks now and it has been great turning my dumb TV into a smart one. I can now stream from almost any platform directly to my TV. It's been excellent and a great purchase instead of buying a whole new TV! Easy to set up, easy to use, easy to control. No issues with connectivity or anything else.

I don't really need this for any newer TV...but for one without a lot of apps, or any apps on it, this thing is fantastic. Took it to Ireland and streamed Netflix to the AirBnB tv. Use it with an older flatscreen in the back bedroom...just in case you want to chill away from the fam.

Chromecast is handy especially when you want to watch something fast. Just tell GoogleMini what you want to watch and she puts it right on. The only issue/problem is sometimes the connectivity fails when first turning on the tv and you have to unplug and plug back in. I’m not sure if this is the internet on my end though. Once connected and going, no problems at all. Note this will not turn your physical tv on and off which is slightly annoying.

Fantastic device. I use it to stream basically anything to the TV. Wonderful when paired w/ 3rd party apps which can send video from sites like twitch.tv directly to it. Nothing wrong w/ Twitch's app, but I get tired of the need to click the 'cast to device' icon and have it constantly showing up on my phone.

We had the gen1 Chromecast on a few TV's in our house, and loved them, but had a few minor issues over the years. We decided to pick these up on sale, and haven't experienced any issues so far. It gives a great option for streaming different types of media, and simple screen sharing. For the price, it can't be beat in my opinion.

I can stream any computer or mobile device to your TV and control the sound and playback. It lets you Stream Cast (or ChromeCast) with the download app whatever device you have to the ChromeCast to the TV like YouTube. Great standard definition 1080p picture or get the upgraded version 4k ChromeCast.
